Kotobukiya Iron Man 3: War Machine ArtFX Statue

Another great kotobukiya statue. Big. As most people that collect know, koto uses a pvc that doesnt feel quite like cold cast porcelain as some other statues do. However, koto "statues" are still great products in my opinion. A little overpriced, but they are a japanese company so u are going to pay a bit more. Every once in a while though, deals such as this one come along. The product does have one flaw but if u consider what u get for the money i think it still deserves a 5 star rating. Also the flaw can be corrected quite easy. As with almost all koto statues, there is some assembly required. Nothing major though and as with all the other koto statues i have, the parts fit nice and tight and once the product is assembled, it does look like one piece. The base comes in one piece. Its a nice base. The paint is good. Its not very complex but it still looks pretty realistic. The sculpt on it is good. Of course, is just the base, but u know that if the base is s***ty enough, the whole product suffers quite a bit. Its a pipe coming out of some steel deck that has been damaged. It provides the statue with a good balance, which is a must (im sure u enjoy ur statues in one piece as i do, specially when none of these guys are cheap). The figure itself is great just like most other koto figures. Great sculpt, great paint app,and very accurate to the model. One thing on this one though is the shoulder mounted weapon. It looks good but i am not sure if it can be rotated. It moves a bit when u try to rotate it, and it even looks like it has different pieces to make it swivel. It does feel tight after a certain point though so in my opinion, u should not try to mess with it since it looks great the way it comes and as i sad before, this thing is not a couple of $. The way war machine is connected to the base is by a whole in his knee which goes into a peg that protrudes out of the pipe. Thats where the minor, easy to correct flaw is. When u connect him to the base, it doesnt go in all the way and it doesnt get a tight enough fit. This does not ruin the figure at all, it still connects in a secure manner and works fine. The only thing that it does is it makes war machine crooked by a tiny bit. Once again, it is barely noticeable and it might just be my particular figure. Very easy fix though. If u experience this and it bothers u enough, just grab a little piece of a bussiness card or something like that and fold it. Then just insert it into the leg's hole and connect war machine to the base. The card will make it tight and u wont see it since its inside the hole. Piece of cake.Overall, a very nice piece. Very impressive once fully assembled. It doesnt light up as the other 1/6 scale iron man statue does, but it stands a little bit taller than it. Very good deal considering how much $$ other kotobukiya statues are and how much less statue u get. I highly recommend it.

I was very impressed with the statue. Way better than I thought. My only grip I have is that the right arm keeps falling off.

Love the texture and detail on this statue. Got it on sale and thats what sold me. When I put it together, everything was snug and in place.Love it…!

One of the coolest statues you can purchase from Kotobukiya.I can only bring myself to give it 3 stars (it would be 1 star if it were not so cool looking) and here is why:It does not stay together. The arms fall out and the War Machine figure falls off the pipe all the time. Disappointed that it cost this much, looks this cool, but when it comes to STAYING together, Kotobukiya cut some corners.

figure's base has problems sustaining weight

Straight to the point this statue is defective. The effect of war machine giving the illusion that he is gliding through air is great. The problem is after a month or two this affect will go away because the peg that goes into his leg will begin to slip out noticibly. I believe kitobukiya was aware of this issue seeing how the price on this statue was drastically reduced.In conclusion I can't recommend this statue because that flaw is to essential to the effect that the figure is intending to showcase. Skip this one and save your money for a better quality kitobukiya high end statue.

Awesome figure, highly detailed, the base is very impressive as well. The peg that War Machine's leg fits into is not as tight as I would like; planning on using super glue to permanently affix to the base. His gun swivels in two spots, which is very cool. All around great buy!

Looks great, design is sharp, item is well made. My husband loves it! These statues can be very expensive, this statue is moderately priced but well made.

Ja das war eigentlich die Hauptfrage für mich. Kotobukiya Figuren sind von Grund auf recht teuer, die billigsten bekommt man um 40-50 Euro die teuersten steigen in utopische Höhen (das Highlight war wohl ein Juggernaut von den X-Men der um über 1000 Euro angeboten wurde).Da ich die Figuren extrem schön finde, ich ein großer Marvel Fan bin und schon ein paar Figuren habe wollte ich mir als nächstes War Machine zulegen- Kostenpunkt 120 Euro. Eine stattliche Summe für eine Sammelfigur in meinen Augen, aber als ich sie heute erhielt konnte ich sagen War Machiine ist sein Geld wert. Wie alle Kotobukiya Figuren ist auch diese sehr hochwertig verarbeitet und auch extrem massiv (schwer). Von der Größe her übertrifft sie gar den unglaublichen Hulk.Fazit: Für Marvel Fans die sich vielleicht in Zukunft Sammelfiguren zulegen wollen sollten jene von Kotobukiya absolut die 1. Wahl sein, ich habe mit meinen auf jeden Fall sehr viel Freude

Das Ding ist ganze 42! cm hoch und nicht, wie angegeben, lediglich 39 solche.Des Weiteren sieht es wirklich gut aus, ist stabil und stinkt nicht, so, wie manch andere dieser Figuren es gerne tun.Die Idee, einen Superhelden via Base quasi "fliegen" zu lassen, verdient Beachtung, zumal selbige hier wirklich schön umgesetzt worden ist.Außerdem stimmt der Preis (ca.110 Euro). Sammlerherz, was willst du mehr?Die Lieferung funktionierte, entgegen aller Befürchtung, einwandfrei.Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für kleinere (muß nicht bei jeder Figur so sein) Verarbeitungsnachlässigkeiten, welche aber das positive Gesamtbild nicht wirklich beeinträchtigen.Gruß
