Our stove has a griddle in the middle, what is the maximum length of this guard?

My stove also has a griddle and it is plenty long enough. My stove is 30 inches wide and I let it hang over an additional 2 inches for safety. This item has been fantastic to keep my daughter from touching the cast iron grates and pots when cooking. They come off really easy to clean too (the clips stay on the stove and you slide the guard on).

Does the adhesive ruin your stove?

It's a pretty aggressive adhesive but I can't see it ruining it. Maybe when you peel it off you'll need some adhesive removal... which might show swirls once it's all off. Big picture it shouldn't matter since it's protecting your kids from getting hurt

Do you think this would work on a dishwasher to prevent little hands from pushing the buttons and turning it on?

Possibly, depending on the location of the buttons and available surface to stick the guard to. Most dishwashers have a way to "lock" the buttons. Look for a button that says "3 sec", or check for instructions on the inside edge of your washer. If you don't see anything there, check the owners manual. Same goes for the microwave once they can reach it...

What is the actual color that I can purchase? I am looking for a black one

The color of the stove guard is light brown.
