iCade 8-Bitty - Retro Wireless Game Controller for iPhone/iPad/Android

The product itself is well made and feels just like the old nintendo controllers. The only reason this doesnt get 5 starts is that is doesnt work with many emulators. nesemu works and a couple others. The blue ime app that is supposed to help doesnt on on 4.2 and later.

The controller works great with SNES 9x EX+ and my Nexus 7. Paired it as a Bluetooth keyboard and selected the iCade profile in 9x, no other configuration was necessary. Nice to be able to play games again that have been taking up space in my closet for years.Although it paired as a keyboard with my Win7 HTPC, each button seems to send a two letter combination each time that it is pressed. Doesn't make much of a remote this way, but may work if the program you're using has a supported profile.Slightly rounded corners may have been nice, but I've used it for 2 hour stretches without any discomfort.Update: As someone else mentioned, this no longer works with Android 4.3. This may also be why it did not work with a Samsung tablet, as I believe that Samsung has typically used their own Bluetooth stack.

Doesn't work with most games & by default isn't mapped anywhere near logically. I often have to press the start key for my game's primary action button, which is nonsense. Still, it's not really the 8-bitty's fault. 4 stars

The typical action buttons (A/B) are mapped to the shoulders. Imagine playing SMB with no thumb buttons...it sucks and there is no icade app to remap them. The build quality is fine...it's just plastic and stickers. The d-pad has the general Saturn shape and feel but it isn't Saturn quality because it's kinda spongy by comparison. I really like that it has the NES feel and considering how few options there are out there, it would have gotten 4 stars from me if I didn't have to shoot with L1 and jump with R1. :/

Picked this up after the manufacturer said It would pair with OS X. It does, but not well. Not well enough to play a game. Spent hours trying to get it to work. I'm an advanced computer user after five hours I gave up.

I bought this remote to play Mario Bros on my iPad! Works great! I expected to play the first NES but I am able to play the SNES and Sega Emulaters! Look out for my video on youtube how to connect the remote!

nice product, fairly good responsive with my Ouya (even though sometimes lags for a couple of seconds) sure a awesome buy!!

This is a great idea! Like many people I love the old arcade games. This makes it almost like the good old days.

The item really durable, it has removable battery, hence you can use it as many as you want not like most controllers when rechargeable battery dead you have to thrown them away, however it doesn't work as usual controller, only supported in certain games and emulators like[...] for me it wasn't an issue but it can be a deal barker for someone.
