Punching Bag UNFILLED Hanging Punching Bag DIY Heavy Boxing Bag for Kids and Adults with Steel Chain and Wall-Mount Bracket

We have been needing more things for my husband and kids to keep shape. We decided to add punching bag to the regiment and ended up deciding on this one. So it needed to be durable but flexible at the same time. So when searching for one the pictures on this sellers add seemed to show a very durable unit that really seemed professionally built. Now I cannot compare it to another so I can only speak about it in and of itself. That being said I was really surprised that the pictures of the bars and chain to hold it actually matched the pictures. The bars are at least two inches thick and the chain is over engineered. They could have gotten away with a much cheaper and thinner chain. I have smaller chains for heavier things than this. So just on the chains and hanging bars alone this was a smart purchase. The hardware that came with it to mount is meant for a solid wall, cement, brick or stone, so if you are installing in wood I would replace the wall bolts with lag bolts which would give you some flexibility for moving it. However most people would be utilizing a solid wall for this type of exercise equipment so the compression bolts that came with it are perfect. Another thing I liked was the ability to utilize my own fill. I see people using all sorts of bags and this one gives the ability to use sand and pretty much anything you want. We used old kid’s clothes which I think was apropos since the kids would be using it as well. We were able to fill it up (not sure the weight) with no problems and gave it good shape. One thing that I was worried about was the straps that hold the bag to the chains was loose or slotted about the strap. I was pleasantly surprised that this was engineered to allow for movement about the straps so it wasn’t so rigid. Thumbs up to engineers out there. Also, the straps went into the bag then out the bottom to give it more support where the weight was mostly concentrated. The last thing noticeable is the padding on the inside. It isn’t over padded but just enough to help give some cushioning between your fill and the outside. I’m sure this will help with those that use a denser filling. All of these things produced a strong supportive and seemingly long lasting bag. I am happy with the purchase and glad there are others that think about making products that should survive over its intended use.

I'm not a fan of the hanger. Had to do some "hacks" to make it work without pulling out of the wall. The expanding bolts did not expand far enough. WOuld have worked better if the T brace was vertically held. BZut the bag itself is good. Filled it with 50lbs of sand and a crap load of old cloths. :). Works good.

So the metal part that it hangs on was practically impossible to out up. Once we got it put up. We punched the bag and everything fell down. So decided to just fey rid of the metal part. The chain is long enough to wrap around a tree branch and connect to the chain. So that's the way we use it now. So far it's held up in weather cause we use it outside. I like the fact that you can fill it with anything. We used blankets and pillows.

This has been perfect for my husband to release some steam and workout at the same time! He loves it! So glad I got it for him. It’s the perfect length. He hangs it from his pull up bar and it holds perfectly. He filled it up with lots of clothes. It’s pretty heavy. It’s been holding up just fine. Great purchase!!

I hung the bag outside, on my shed. Holding up nicely to the elements. I used a combo of sand and rags for filling.

Broke in no time. Waste of money

The bag itself is really nice, heavy-duty, and durable, yet, the bracket for the wall mount is a little difficult to manage.
