Kept my dog from bothering the surgical site
Had to neuter a 6yr old highly reactive dog. I figured I could get by with the cone from the vet but he whined continously in it and wouldn't eat or drink. Then I tried an inflatable collar but he was able to reach his incision anyway. Working from home, I figured I would just keep an eye on him. I was wrong. He licked it more than I realized. Finally, I ordered this and put it on him thinking he would hate it and it wouldn't work. Thankfully, I was wrong again. He seems to like it. He gets excited every time I have to put it back on. He's healing much faster now and seems more like himself. I leave it on most of the day and overnight. I do take it off when I take him outside. You don't have to, it has a snap too keep it out of the way.It fit perfect. He's 67 pound Scotch Collie and I ordered the XXL. I didn't measure him, he's not very cooperative about those kinds of things. The XXL fits great. It may be a little loose but it covers the surgical area. There are 2 positions to snap it and I started with the bigger fit but noticed his bits fell through the side. I then used the 2nd snap position to make it a little snugger and now nothing is peeking through that he can get to.This worked so much better than I expected for him and I'm so thankful. It's easy to get on and off and that's saying a lot for this dog. If he didn't like it, he'd never let me put it on a 2nd time. For us, a GREAT product that is serving its purpose and something I may continue to use with him even after he's healed because he seems to enjoy wearing it.

Excellent Quality - Protected Neuter Incision
After ordering several other brands, I finally found a surgical recovery suit that would fit my dachshund!! After I was sure it fit him properly, I ordered a second backup suit (highly recommend you get two to alternate when one gets dirty). The back was long enough for his back and they have two snap options to ensure a good fit around the tail. He was not able to access the incision and it was not too tight to be uncomfortable or rub on the surgical site. Excellent quality and washed well. It kept him warm and dry and was easy to roll up and snap in place for his trips outside. I found this suit very suitable for my dachshund.

Great Recovery Suit… Unless Your Great Dane Is Basically the Hulk 😂
We absolutely loved these recovery suits! They were soft, arrived on time, fit our 100 lb Great Dane perfectly, and protected everything they were supposed to after surgery (neuter + stomach tacking). The snaps worked great, and getting them on and off for potty breaks was easy. They washed great, didn't tear or break in the machine. Plus, watching two giant dogs walk around in their little recovery pajamas was pretty adorable. 😂Now, about our 150 lb Great Dane… We ordered the XXL, which was supposed to fit him, but apparently, he had other plans. It started out a little too snug, and after about three days of him moving around, he managed to stretch it until the seams gave up. At that point, the suit had officially lost its battle with Puppy Hulk. 💪😂So, overall, we LOVE the product and would absolutely recommend it! Just be aware that if you have an extra-large Great Dane, you may want to size up if possible. One of our boys did great in his, and the other apparently considers clothing a personal challenge. 🤣

Excellent quality and finish, but didn't fully meet my dog's post-surgery needs
This garment is very well made — I was genuinely impressed with the finishing and overall quality. The fabric feels soft and comfortable, with a good thickness: not too heavy, not too thin. It was also easy to put on and take off, which I appreciated. The buttons were a little tricky to snap, but nothing too frustrating. I ordered a medium based on the measurements, and while it was a bit snug on my dog, it still fit well enough to use. The issue was that it left a gap in the “leg pit” area, which meant my dog could still reach and lick his surgery incision — defeating the purpose for us. His belly was well covered, though, so if the incision had only been there, this would have worked fine.Even though we didn’t end up keeping it, I thought it was a fair value for the money. I can’t speak to long-term durability, but the build quality felt solid. If you're looking for something to cover the belly post-surgery and your dog doesn't need full coverage around the legs, I'd still recommend giving it a try.

Surgery recovery gamechanger!
Never in a million years did we expect our fluffy puppy, who hardly chews on toys or gets into any mischief outside of occasionally eating the cat's food, to chew up a washcloth and get it stuck in both his stomach and small intestines needing emergency surgery. After the vet told us our dear Kurbis needed abdominal surgery I set out to get prepped for our post-op life, including researching recovery suits to wear because a cone is just so uncomfortable.I looked at a lot of suits, watched dozens of videos, and read hundreds of reviews. What I took away from everyone's experiences was:1. Buy two.2. Buy a suit that has snaps to close it instead of velcro.3. Size up if your pupper is extra floofy like ours.- The incision on our dog has been draining for several days (totally normal). I am SO happy I purchased two recovery suits because we have needed to rotate between them multiple times a day as we adjusted to the incision draining (it was unexpected and the vet did not give a heads up it was something that may happen). Having to spend $60 and change for the two suits does sting a bit, especially when we ultimately had to spend $2500 on vet bills, but well worth it, in my opinion. I haven't regret spending that much money yet! This suit has helped make life so much easier for our furbaby!- I am SO happy I purchased a suit with snaps instead of velcro. Not only is the suit undone multiple times a day to let the dog out to potty, it is washed once, twice, sometimes three times a day. Many reviews I saw for suits with velcro closures mentioned the velcro broke down quickly and became unable to stay closed.- I followed the size chart and measured my dog, which suggested I order a size large. For reference, Kuribs is a 5 year old, 50 lb. Australian Shepherd. Large does work, but he's so fluffy it's a bit tight around his neck and I wish the suit reached about another inch down his back. I actually submitted a request to return the suits to then order an XL, but noticed we got a little blood on one when trying it on and couldn't, in good conscience, return it. So, when I washed the suits I pulled on them to stretch them out and air dry. That really did the trick! We have had our suits for 5 days now and, given the magnitude of Kurbis's wound, have needed to wash both A LOT. They are always washed inside out, with cold water, and either line dried or tumble dried on low heat and as the only thing in the dryer. Because of how much they've been washed, the 'Ruff Life' print is cracking on the purple suit and a hole is forming at a seam of the blue suit. I am not upset by this whatsoever and am not going to knock any stars because this is happening because of the sheer amount of wear and tear we've put into them in such a short amount of time. Really, because of how much abuse the suits have endured, I think they are holding up great! So, in conclusion, if you're on the fence deciding between this suit and one that is cheaper with velcro straps, GET THIS ONE INSTEAD! And get two! You do not want to have to deal with a suit that is going to breakdown on you in a week when all you want is for your pup to heal as gently, and easily as possible.Cannot recommend enough and so happy I found this suit!

Great design. Stitches run down her side
Having dealt with the collar after my dogs last surgery a couple months ago, I was not looking forward to another round after a tumor removal on her side. My vet said the magic word- recovery suit. I ordered a different style on the day of her surgery but the size was wrong. It was the Velcro style. I researched a little more and found this one. It’s a God-send. I’m glad to not have Velcro especially since the stitches run along her side. This one has the snap up flap for going to the bathroom. I had to leave her for a couple hours. Her back leg got caught in the under flap and she soiled it. . After that I just kept it snapped up for going to the bathroom. Perfect!! I’ve had it on her for 2days and it hasn’t moved out of place. Granted she’s at the top end of her size but I cannot say enough of the brilliant design of this recovery suit.

Seems to be working so far but I should have bought a larger size
My border collie was crashing into everything including me with the "cone of shame" . My vet suggested a onsie. I liked the material for this one but since my dog is right on the border of a large vs Xlarge I bought the Large.Oops. This is just a bit too tight and the tail hole is making her crazier than she already is.I considered returning it to get the xlarge but she can twist enough to get the front leg holes in chewing range & I fear a larger size would make that even easier. Its only for a week so hopefully she gets used to the tail thing & doesn't chew off an arm hole. The material is soft & stretchy and it doesn't have the "cut here" for male dogs on the belly so there is nothing to rub.It was way easier to put on that the compression socks I had to wear after surgery, lol!!!Good product , well made, but if your dog is on the border between sizes- buy up.🐕After 3 days wear both arm holes have torn apart. It does keep her from chewing her incision but the armholes are now huge and I will not be able to use this again in the future if needed. For the cost I had hoped it would have been sewn a bit stronger but it still is sooooo much better than the cone of shame.Day 5: My dog has so far chewed both front leg opening apart and today she chewed one side of the part that goes around her tail apart. I should have got one made of kevlar.Unfortunately she also has figured out how to get the cone of shame off her head even though it's still attached to her collar.

Functionally well designed and comfortable for my dog
Our little guy was dealing with both neutering and a hot spot on his ribs. The BellyGuard allows him full mobility while having a barrier to keep him from obsessively licking his healing skin. The design is excellent with its adjustable fit snaps plus the fold-up snap at the neck, making it easy to get the suit adjusted for potty breaks. The sizing guide was spot on, it fits perfectly. Fabric and construction is well made. The material is smooth, breathable and very comfortable for the dog. We're in a heat wave and I have checked by placing my hand between the fabric and pet and it's not trapping heat. The neck seems a little snug, but it doesn't bother my dog. Launders well.I haven't had any issues with him trying to chew through the fabric, but I have also been spraying the hot spot with bitter so he's not gone after it.Overall would highly recommend this suit for its functional design, comfort and quality. It arrived in a sturdy zip-close bag which will make for good storage once he's recovered.

Good fit and nice fabric
Fabric feels lovely and L size is perfect on my schnauzer/lab/terrier mutt! She is due to be spayed next week so this will be a great alternative to the cone of shame!

Good suit worked well
Perfect fit, glad I measured my dog because suggested breeds/sizes are always a bit of a guess. Nice colour, although the text is a bit cringe. Worked quite well, nice, stretchy and spacious so no rubbing. The poppers/buttons are a bit fiddly - especially if your dog is urgently needing the toilet after having an adverse reaction their spay surgey - but the fact that you can affix the bottom part up to the neck, essentially 'rolling' it up for them to go toilet and then pull it back down without having to remove the entire thing is a bonus. It is a bit tight around the neck. She hated it but tolerated it way better than the cone of shame. Only downside is the heatwave and the fact that ideally she doesn't need an extra layer on her right now.

Probably need to buy a few more
Worked like a bomb. Only problem now is she refuses to take it off.
