Caro Emerald Presents Drum Rolls & Heart Breaks

This is a great collection of pieces from a many of music's greatest artists. There is a really nice mix of instrumental and vocal tracks.Highlights are:The DeCastro Sisters - Teach Me Tonight Cha ChaShirley Bassey - Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss MeDella Reese - Do RightTex Williams - Smoke, Smoke, SmokeJune Christy - It's Been A Long, Long TimeDinning Sisters - You're A Character, DearSome of the songs I don't think were the best choice. One in particular is The Andrew Sisters "Aurora". I love the Andrew Sisters but I don't think this is one of their best songs. I could certainly find more influence in some of their other songs, ie "Is You Is or Is You Aint My Baby" just to name one.The packaging is beautiful, however! The artwork is brilliant, as usual with Grand Mono releases.

last time I ever get an album that is not of the artist's own stuff ( at least performed). I really like Caro's stuff.

I bought this Caro Emerald's name was on it, It is really only okay - I mean, not great. And only one Caro song.

I really like this album. BUT, I must admit that I did purchase it thinking that it was an album of music sung by Caro Emerald. I loved her "Deleted Scenes" album so much that I just put this in the cart without really looking into it - I'd buy anything by her! That said, I enjoyed the walk down memory lane - there's some real classics!So if you're interested in this album, check out the songs and artists first, to see if it's actually what you want.

Les goûts musicaux de cette jeune et excellente Caro Emerald interfèrent avec les miens, alors ce commentaire est forcément subjectif. À se procurer si vous aimez les musiques des années 40 et 50...

Bought this thinking it was Carla singing, but it is songs that influenced her. I was not at all disappointed like some of the other reviews. This is a fab CD my husband and 16 year old love it and have played it non stop. It is a lovely cd to put on in the evening sitting by the fire with a glass of wine, relaxed and cool.

Caro Emerald とおもって購入。でも、Caro Emerald 選の曲で、コンピアルバムでした。Caro Emerald が全部歌ってるわけではありませんでした。良く調べないで購入してしまいましたが、でも彼女のルーツ。どれもカッコイイ曲でした。
