Don't waste your time
They smelled very lightly of cedar once I opened the package. After putting them in my closet for a couple days they didn't even smell like cedar even when I put my nose up to them. I wound up returning them since they do not work. I've noticed this is intrinsic of a lot of these types of cedar blocks. Likely the only way to get your clothes smelling like cedar is to build a cedar closet or spray cedar oil around your closet.

Don't buy these if you want the aroma of cedar
Worst product EVER! The seller was great, the delivery was great, the product is horrible. Even after I sanded each one of them, I could not get a cedar smell from any of them. Opening the back they come in, there was no scent. Save your money. These are not the ones.

They smell like cedar...
With 16 of these things you can place them everywhere. They are quite flat and can hang from rods, other hangars, door knobs, wall hooks. I was impressed with the initial strong, natural cedar smell. As long as cedar oil (the replacement kind) doesn't stain clothes, I can see these in use for many years.

Since moving to an older home in the country, we've found ourselves dealing with all kinds of critters in the house. I got these to keep them away from our closets & my husband just loves them! Thanks!

no regrets
The many small moths which bothered me in our home have not been seen since i hung these in every closet and the laundry area. Their scent is pleasant and subtle, yet they are obviously doing their job!

Rather pointless
These come in unsealed packages and by the time I got them, only a very faint cedar aroma remains. Only clothes in direct contact with these would get any cedar aroma. Not suitable as a whole closet cedar aromatiser: I have 16 of these dispersed in a walk-in closet, providing only the faintest cedar aroma. There isn't much cedar to each unit, that oval piece of wood is roughly 6" x 3". The search goes on for a better solution.

seems to be working with several months of use
has a cedar smell out of the package but it is not strong. seems to be doing its job because I haven't had any moth problems. after several months the smell isn't as strong unless you hold it right to your nose. i guess i will have to sand it to revitalize the scent.pros:- seems to be keeping moths outcons:- scent is not very strong
