One crisp, winter morning, a young boy wakes up to find a thick blanket of snow has covered the ground as far as the eye can see. Filled with excitement, the boy decides to build a snowman using a tangerine for his nose, coal for his buttons and eyes, and tops him off with a hat and scarf. Later that night, at the stroke of midnight, the snowman comes to life. The young boy and the snowman embark on a magical adventure of discovery where the snowman explores the young boy's world and in return he takes him flying to his home in the North Pole. Upon arriving at the North Pole, the two join a party as the guests of honor to a very special person.

First Snowman is wonderful; sequel needs disclaimer.
I was thrilled to find The Snowman movie which is a lovely gentle story with no dialogue, but beautiful music to accompany it. My children loved this movie when they were small and I bought it as a gift to them. I take 1 star away for the sequel, which I had never seen until now, for death themes that I think should be noted on the packaging. I’m very very glad I did not have the sequel when my children were small. I think it might have traumatized them at a young age. But I can’t rate the first movie high enough. I’m give it 5 stars!

Snowman mesmerizes
Great for young children (and their parents). Recently sent this to a family member and her children were mesmerized. My wife experienced the same thing when a teacher.

LOVE these movies!
Had this Snowman movie for my kids 20 years ago and now there is another one that goes along with it. Bought for my grand daughters for Christmas and the tradition goes on. This movie has no words just a cartoon that goes along with peaceful music. I used to play it for my kids to help get them to sleep when they were little - they LOVED it -we'd watch it together then say goodnight. I would recommend this set. Just an adorable movie and peaceful.

Two Great Stories!
My kids loved The Snowman from when they were little. I also showed it to my elementary school students every year and they loved it too. When I saw The Snow Dog addition, I had to have it. It was a hit!

Family favorite for 3 generations...so far!
The Snowman is a lovely animated film in which a child builds a snowman, who comes to life! Wordless, except for one song, the music is hauntingly beautiful and helps create the magical mood. The Snowman & the Snowdog continues the story. Based on the classic children's book, "Raymond Briggs' The Snowman." I loved it. My kids loved it. My grandkids love it.
