From windshield covers that I have seen, this is by far my favorite. If you have a very small car, MAKE SURE IT'S NOT TOO BIG. I'll explain why shortly.There's a flap on each side that tucks into your car, and a buckle that goes across the inside. It makes the fit custom to your vehicle, as well as discouraging theft.To secure the bottom, there are straps that are stretchy and fit over the side mirrors. There are multiple loops to accommodate different sizes of vehicles and mirrors.A final part that makes this even better- there are bars on each side (not top and bottom) that make this cover sturdy and prevents it from bunching up. ***if this cover is too big for your vehicle, these bars can prevent your doors from closing. I drive an 08 elantra and it fits perfectly. The measurements are in the item too, so measure and you'll be fine.I'm sorry this review is a longer one. I didn't receive a discount, I don't get paid. I'm not lucky enough :P All I know is that I went through a few crappy covers before I found this one. I don't want others to have to go through what I did.To those reading this, I absolutely love it. If it looks like it'll fit your vehicle, you will too.

This is thick and durable. Of course you have to clean the snow off of the cover, but it gets the job done. It cuts out the windshield cleaning and ice scraping. The buckle that secures the flaps in your car are necessary and work great. The mirror covers are an added bonus and get the job done. I bought 2 of them. It is advertised as a front windshield cover, but works great for the back. The Back cover I bought, which was the only one I could find, was thin and useless. Now I have coverage for both windshields and an extra set of covers for my mirrors.

Well, it's definitely a quality product except one of the elastic straps began to tear when I pulled it around my mirror for a test fit. I stapled the tear together and covered it with hot glue. I had to do a little customizing to help it fit correctly. It didn't quite reach across the windshield of my Jeep Rubicon. There are plastic rods sewn into the left and right edges to help keep the shield from flopping around. Because the width wasn't quite long enough the rods would rest on the hood and against the top of the windshield cause the edges of the shield to be lifted up so it didn't rest on the windshield. (Lay a knife on top of a plate edge to edge. The knife will touch each edge, but not the middle of the plate.) To fix this I had to cut the fabric edges a small opening on one end each, remove the rods and cut about six inches off of them before reinstalling them. I sealed the cuts in the fabric with hot glue as well as cutting a small hole in the fabric where the shorter rods now ended and put glue there to keep the rods from sliding down. I could have adjusted the whole shield to sit higher on my windshield, but then the top portion would be sticking up and catching the wind allowing a lot of snow to get underneath the shield. Moving it up would also compromise the shields ability to cover my windshield wipers and would have made getting the flaps secured inside the doors. I really like the strap that you buckle inside the vehicle as it makes it easier to install. Coverage from top to bottom on my Jeep was fine and I like the extra long flap on the bottom to cover the windshield wipers.When I used it for the first time it did keep the snow off of my windshield. A small amount of moisture had gotten between the shield and my windshield and had frozen, but it was so thin I was able to quickly remove it using the defroster and wipers. I found I had to be careful when removing the shield as the elastic straps around the mirrors had hard frozen to the vehicle in places. I didn't want to cause another tear so I had to remove them carefully.So, some minor issues, but overall I am satisfied. It certainly beats standing out in the cold for thirty minutes or more using elbow grease to scrape off ice and snow.The only thing that really irritates me? I decided to post this review and found the darn thing is now $18 cheaper than I paid. ^$%#&!!!

This product is fantastic! It is easy to use! keeps my windshield clear of snow ice and frost. Even 40 mph winds so far and no problems. The item fits from top of windshield to cover the wipers and cowl of the hood! Just be carefull that this can freeze and to roll this item up for the day or lay it over a seat but if folded when frozen the material can start to crack! Easy to put on even if a bit windy! the side bars is a great idea! To make this product even better? add pockets for the side mirrors but most of all it works like a charm!
