!
I've used this to paint four cars now. I know it's not the most expensive in their line up but it still very nice. I've used cheaper paint guns and they don't compare with this gun. I found it is easy to take a part and put back together. I've noticed that the fit and finish on this gun is very good. Of course all I have to compare it to is two of my old cheap guns. The trigger pull is smooth and it atomizes the paint perfectly. To boot it came with three different sized tips. The neighbors saw my paint jobs and now want their cars painted. So far I've told them I'm too old to keep this up. SO NO! I bought this for my own car and have only painted my relatives cars. I still haven't gotten around to painting my car yet but I'm still recovering from all the work that goes into painting. What I loved the most about this gun is if you use it correctly it gives professional results. The biggest difference between this and a cheap gun is that it doesn't leave behind orange peel. Until I used this one I couldn't figure out why I was getting mediocre results. I have now learned it has a lot to do with how the gun atomized the paint. What a difference. I now feel like a pro although the pros are way better than me. But this paint gun did make a huge difference. If your going to use expensive auto paint you might as well get a great paint gun. This gun is well made and stood up with consistent results every time. I would recommend if you want your paint job to look great!! I hope this company keeps up the good work!!!

Great gun for beginners like me
Iโm a weekend restorer, and am working on rebuilding a CoPart salvages 2014 Scion tC. Body shops wanted $300 to repaint the front bumper and side skirt I needed to replace, but instead I bought this for $217 here on amazon and then with paint and supplies, still came in under that mark. โTeach a man to fish...โ I did a lot of research for an easy to use, beginner friendly paint gun that wouldnโt break the bank. These reviews here plus The Gunman reviews on YouTube led me to this gun. And boy I could not be happier. My first gun sprayed horrible and the clear was pretty bad. I did, in my newness to this skill, mess up by not noticing I was spraying base with the 1.3mm tip, so the base coat did not match factory base pattern, but it is hardly if at all noticeable. Next time Iโll be sure to use the 1.5mm for base I was painting outdoors at about 62-64 degrees F and so it was a bit on the chilly side for paint. Using medium activator for my Euro clear, it laid down wet but had a horrible orange peel effect to it. I reduced PSI to about 12-15 and laid another layer that went better, but still showed orange peel. I think I was spraying too far away and going too fast. The great news is that because it was so cold and because I was using medium and not fast activator, the clear laid out and became super smooth. All in all, I love this gun and how it sprays and how forgiving it is to a beginner like me.

Used a Devilbiss siphon feed which shot perfect coats. As you can see I had to ...
last time i sprayed was in 1976! did lacquer w clear on top.Used a Devilbiss siphon feed which shot perfect coats. As you can see I had to come up to speed. HVLP was a learning curve. After prepping the gun, setting the pressure (25-26psi @the regulator on the gun, primed the brand new fenders for my landscape trailer. Used epoxy primer over the bare metal, the gun performed outstandingly well, primer went on smooth, first coat put on light, second coat covered nicely.I was suprised! Top coated w Tractor Supply black enamel. Again the gun shot 2 great coats! no drips or runs. I don t do this professionally so this gun does the trick, if I was serious( or anybody else) then I would step up the grade a bit. For $200 it well worth it.Keep it clean, follow mixing directions, check out the on line videos( you learn a lot!) and have fun! Again, great gun.

WTF does "sheerness" have to do with a paint gun? I gave it 5 starrs anyway. Good gun all around.
This is a very nice HVLP spray gun. I have been using the purple guns from El Cheapo Freight and yes they work quite well considering how cheap they are. However, you will soon be spoiled if you buy this gun and will likely not go back to the grimace guns. This one is soooo smooth, night and day difference in the ease of trigger pull and adjustment. Gives a great pattern selection and is easy to clean. Especially after I added the DeKups kit, very cool and easy to use. I really like this gun, I use it for wood finishing with Poly and Lacquer, works great on both. Highly recommended.

Worked great for my first paintjob.
I used this with a craftsman 6hp. 33 gallon compressor. This comes with a 1.3mm tip a 1.5mm tip and a 1.8mm tip a metal cup and an inline adjustable pressure regulator. I used the 1.5mm tip to spray satin silver PPG on a hood and bumper cover. I used the 1.3mm tip to spray the clear. Considering that I had never done this before it turned out looking really good. I had to buy an inline filter which I ordered at the same time as the gun. I also had to purchase a desiccant air dryer and a regulator which I bought at harbor freight and mounted directly after the compressor. The air dryer works as it should but make sure to order extra beads because you have to change them after every session. I used the cheap harbor freight purple gun to spray the primer and it did a really good job. The only problem I had was my own fault. I pressed to hard while using the tack cloth and it left a residue so I had to clean it again with W&G remover. There are also different types of tack cloth be careful which one you choose and when using do not use pressure.

AMAZING spray gun, donโt be afraid to spend some money
Just received this gun in the mail today. I purchased it out of frustration with my previous gun. All I can say is WOW! Incredible gun. I went the cheap route and got a different three gun set for $90 and what a piece of junk. This devilbiss gun is fantastic , I hated to bite the bullet and put $200 for one paint gun but it was worth every single penny . With my cheap crappy gun I had to do several passes to cover an are and it took about 3 hours to cover my car with primer (small two seater sports car). With this new gun I got 3 times the coverage in 1/4 the time . Part of my amazing reaction is probably due to how poor my other set performed , but wow. I really canโt say enough good things about this gun. So far I have only used the 1.8 tip with some epoxy primer , but I have no doubt the others will perfor equally . I will be interested to see how It does on the clear , but so far i am impressed beyond believe . I canโt say how this would comapre to some of the more expensive guns, but I wouldnโt trade it for anything else .

Perfect paint guns and the price is right
Delivery on this gun was less than 24 hours. Tuned it in and it lays paint out perfect. I was so impressed I ordered another one that, sorry to say, is taking 22 days to get it to me. I hope it's as good as the first one. Been a week and hasn't shipped yet. UPDATE: A few days after this post, I received the second gun.(Someone must read these posts) I use it for clear coat. I have done several jobs with these guns and they work perfect. I want a third one for acrylic enamel but none are available with extra tips and gauge. Just the gun is available so I'm going that route. Excellent gun for the price. (Both guns were brand new.)

I really like this gun
I really like this gun. I have used it for solvent base coat and it lays it on nice and flat. The gun has an excellent feel in the hand and appears to be well built. I have only been using it in the shop for a couple of months but haven't had an issues with it so far. It comes with an assortment of 3 tips which is nice and saves from having to buy them separately. I bought the FLG-671 for waterborne after using this gun. I would buy this paint gun again.
