Is this "pulverized" style?

The lime is in small pellets that can be spread with a normal lawn spreader. Very easy to apply.

please let know if it can be applied during spring or early summer?

Lime will never burn your grass, it can we applied any time of the year

Does it help to keep snakes away?

I have been putting it this lime down for the past 2 years. I have always been told snakes do not like it. Knock on wood No snakes! But the main reason I put lime down is because, it keeps the mosquitoes away. They do not like it. And of course our yard is pretty and green.
