The go-to book for Mt Sinai
Fantastic, well researched, well written book. Worth every penny. I didn’t agree with every detail the author put forth (he rejects the split rock at Horeb, posits a southern approach to Mt Sinai, casts serious doubt on the burnt peak of Jabal Maqla), but his scholarly expertise is undeniable. He shows with meticulous detail the feasibility of an exodus to Mt Sinai in Arabia. Any Exodus commentary written in the future must interact with this book and cannot simply pooh-pooh Jabal Maqla without a serious loss of scholarly integrity.

Best account of physical evidence for Biblical Exodus
This book has all the known geographical evidence concerning the Exodus from Egypt. Gets beyond the sensationalism. Makes a great circumstantial case about what happened and where it happened. Sadly the best that can be done is make a good case, but not directly prove it. Happens that way for ancient history. Demonstrates the consistency of of the text in Exodus with the history of ancient Egypt as well. No outstanding discrepancies that cast doubt either.

Like eating a prime-cut, perfectly-seasoned steak!! Good spiritual eating!
Knowing that archaeology can reveal Biblical reality, I was thrilled to see that geography too can enhance Biblical understanding. This book shows how even with the technological advancements, the mountains and rivers haven't moved since Biblical times. With Dr. Fritz's research, I now see the Exodus narrative in a whole new refreshing way, with new attention to the geographic details in the text, and gaining an understanding of the landscape (rock composition, terrain difficulty, trade routes, watersheds, etc.). It was reading time well spent!

For serious students of Scripture in Search of EVIDENCE.
This is an exhaustive study of Old Testament Scripture concerning the EVIDENCE for the exact place the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea. It was the Sea of Aquaba, on the Eastern shore of the Sinai Peninsula that was crossed.THIS ISTHE BEST BOOK I HAVE SEEN ON THIS SUBJECT.

An Amazing book
This book is very well written. The author, Dr. Glen Fritz, clearly explains why the Red Sea passage occurred at the Gulf of Aqaba, and why Mount Sinai was in Arabia in the ancient land of Midian . His geographical knowledge, along with his understanding of the Holy Scriptures and other scientific disciplines, make this book very interesting and reliable. It is a “must have” resource for all those who want to bring to life one of the most exciting events in the Bible. Step-by-step, the book helps the reader to relive the important phases of the Israelite journey beyond the Red Sea crossing, and explains God's provision for their needs, including the weapons needed to fight the Amalekites. This book is certain to strengthen your confidence in the accuracy of the biblical account!.
