After having a licensed Master Mechanic with 30+ years of experience install it, device worked for about an hour, then stopped working for no reason. Radio wouldn't recognize device was even there and iPhone wouldn't charge. Had him look at the device the next day. Nothing. Cables were secure, fuse was working, no crimped wires, no evidence of power surge, etc. So, we put the radio back in to the dashboard and suddenly the device started to work again. Sound quality is spectacular, not going to lie. But, device operation is a little buggy and I didn't know what was wrong, so e-mailed manufacturer. Manufacturer Tech Support was prompt and very helpful. Had me do a firmware update. The update didn't behave as I was told it would, but most, if not all, issues with the GROM device have been resolved -- so I assume the firmware update installed. It's hiccuped three times since and stopped playing music, but all I had to do was unplug my iPhone and plug it back in and it worked fine. This device plays Pandora, YouTube, and my iPhone 5S music and leaving it in USB mode allows me to advance the tracks (and go backward through my playlists on the iPhone music app). Again, the sound quality is spectacular and it was a very easy install into my Volvo. I would definitely buy this device again.

Have this unit for my Volvo XC70. Never worked very well – intermittent on connecting to the BTD and the USB function was non-functional. Eventually, the BTD stopped connecting and I had to contact GROM. They told me to do a firmware update. Done, still didn't work. Went through the troubleshooting on resetting the Bluetooth about 8 times. Didn't fix it and let GROM know. They acted like I didn't know what I was doing and told me to do it multiple times because it doesn't always work on the first try. I did it again. Still no Bluetooth.They had offered me a coupon code to buy a new unit at 30% off. But when I mentioned it seems to be only the Bluetooth failing, they said it was an "accessory" and not eligible for a discount and I will have to pay full price. Clearly, they don't stand behind their product.Save your money and find another option.

I bought my Grom kit for my Volvo XC70. It worked perfectly for about 6 weeks, then one day, it just quit. Grom tech support had me try all sorts of things over the course of several weeks. Eventually, they had me return it to them for evaluation. In the mean time, the Volvo went in storage, as it is a winter car. Grom said the kit is fine. Over the summer, I bought a another radio. When I got the car out in December, I reinstalled the kit and the new radio. Nothing. There are no bluetooth devices recognized, nor does the radio recognize the Grom unit. Another three weeks of back and forth with Grom, and they said to send the unit back, again at my expense. I bought another new kit, direct from Grom. I swapped the cable first, which was the problem, then installed the new kit. I returned the original kit.The Grom unit works great when it works. Their support does not. I have Grom units in my VW, my Range Rover and the Volvo.

Nice addition to the vehicle. Use it on long trips. Also use it when doing errands.

Better than expected. Works with Volvo xc70 2003 and Samsung Galaxy s6.
