Globe Ichthammol Ointment 20% (Drawing Salve) 1 OZ

I got a splinter in the outside edge of my palm. Too deep to dig out. Being an Old Fart, I wasn't going to go to a doctor to dig it out. I ignored it for 4 months. Still a deep bruise looking thing, that was a little tender to touch. I heard about this stuff and found it on Amazon. What did I have to loose? I put a smear of it on my hand and covered it with a band aid. Repeatedly redoing it to try for 24 hours a day coverage. After a couple of weeks, I could tell it was getting smaller and moving to the surface. After 3 more weeks, it was totally gone! Nothing ever actually came out. I guess it dissolved. What have you got to loose? Try it!

Last week I accidentally stepped on a tiny piece of glass but it honestly hurt really badly (as to be expected). It happened 10 minutes before I had to leave for work and all of the urgent care places within my medical insurance couldn’t do anything about it (it was under the skin; not too deep but these places weren’t able to do any procedures to take it out). So at work one of my coworkers who’s a medical provider recommended I try this out. Now I was open to anything at this point since I wasn’t able to squeeze it out or anything on my own even with her help. And this product states they can help take out splinters & whatnot so heck why not try it out?? I constantly put it on for a few days and right when it was protruding out of the skin I was able to squeeze it out and get the remaining parts using a tweezer. Now my foot is back to normal!! I cleaned and disinfected it of course afterwards but this did wonders for me!! Definitely keeping it in my first aid kit when I go out and about because you just never truly know!!

Works pretty good. Hard to apply but that is just the type of paste it is. Also used on my chicken’s foot!

I seriously thought this was like snake oil and fake, but it worked. Had a weird boil that wouldn't go away and wouldn't come to a head. Tried this stuff and after three days of use, the boil came to a head and was drained. I applied to a clean area 3 to 5 times a day for 3 days straight. I woke up on day 4 to being able to drain the boil. About the product, it is an ugly brown color, I didn't notice an odor to it. It feels greasy, but washes off easily. Not an appealing product to look at, but it did work. I kept the area covered with a bandage. After draining be sure to use a triple antibiotic ointment.

Works well to numb the irritation. In my case bought to try to work a splinter out. Did not help with that. Applications did make it more tolerable till I could get it with tweezers. Smells a bit. Not horrible,just very different.

My dad was all about this ointment, said it was the “cats meow“. I ordered a tube and within a month a friend of mine had a bite on the inside of her arm that was spreading and itching and she thought she was gonna have to go to the emergency room with it. I put some of this ointment on her and sent the tube home with her and a week later she brought it back and said it worked great. I’ve also used it for a friend who had some poison ivy on his arms. It is black and will get on your clothing, but it does work very well.
