Child’ book
Wonderful book! Purchased for my granddaughter she loves going thru the pages herself. Highly recommend if you have a little one starting to enjoy books!

The same texture??
Super cute book, but all of the “feely” parts feel the same? Like the rough, soft, scratchy, etc. it’s all the same texture. Super disappointed, and because of this, my son doesn’t like it as much as he does the “that’s not my bee”. The textures in that book are amazing, and very different.

The kiddo who receives this book will be hooked!
My nephew has loved the other two Usborne books I bought him so when I saw the kitten book I knew he had to have it for his 2nd birthday. He got so excited when he pulled this book out of his gift bag! He was so excited he got up from his pile of gifts, walked over to me, sat in my lap and handed me the book. “Read ‘elly peas” 🥰 So I read him his book and asked him if it was a good book. He nodded his head and then said “again!” His mom told him one more time then he needed to finish opening the presents and play at his party. He did, but he carried his kitty book with him the rest of the day and even got several other guests to read to him too! His mom sent me a video later that night of him on his dad’s lap reading the book before bed and in typical “Bugaboo” form when his dad closed the book, my Bugaboo looked up at him and said “again peas!” 🥰 The adults in the family had it the book memorized by Monday morning! 😂🤷🏻♀️

Very similar to other books in the series
This was the third entry in Usborne's "That's Not My ..." series that we snagged, after "That's Not My Monkey" and "That's Not My Pirate," which became fast favorites. I sought this one out as a birthday gift as I thought it might combine two things that my daughter was currently into: "That's Not My" Books and cats. (Also, I thought that if she wanted to poke THIS cat's nose over and over again, it would be a less dangerous option!)I admit to being disappointed that there wasn't much new here in the way of textures or creativity in how they are displayed. Compared to the other two books in the series we own, I don't think there's a new offering in the bunch. That said, my daughter didn't seem to mind, and actually started to request this one more than the others, so perhaps it just comes down to what order you acquire them.

Cute. That's about it
We have a bunch of these books, but my kid recently developed a kitty obsession which forced me to purchase this one. Personally I feel like it could've been better illustrated and texturized. Colors are kind of dull, kitten's "rough" paws are actually (so slightly) bumpy according to other examples in books of this series, it's confusing. No new, exciting adjectives. I would only recommend this one if you don't have a bunch of them already. Also my child could not be happier, so it gets 4 stars.

Missed the Mark on Several Different Levels.
Meh...It's Okay....Not our favoriteLet me just preface by saying we love the Usborne Touchy Feely books! We have a number of them and my son loves different textures so these are a big hit. However, this one is one of the less successful iterations of the series. The textured sections are pretty small with the exception of the last page, and that makes it less fun. Also one of the "textures" is shiny...I'm sorry Usborne...you can't FEEL shiny...it can LOOK shiny, but that's not a texture. Overall I found this version so uninspired...It's like they got into a good groove with the animal ones and instead of groove, this feels more like a RUT. The textures are basic, nothing fun or unique (unless you count the one that's NOT a texture) and the pictures aren't particularly cute or bright and colorful. Overall...this one missed the mark on several different levels.

Great but not as good as some of the others
It's ears are too fuzzy, it's paws are too rough,It's tummy is so fluffy. These I understand. It's bell is too shiney doesn't offer much tactile interest (none really) and it's nose is too smooth is now all clawed and rough because - though it started out no smoother than the rest of the page- it's less durable to kids nails and now they're given it a rough texture). This is a cute book, my kids enjoy it -but both they and I prefer That's not my monster and that's not my dragon. (1 year old triplets - they've been using these books since about 6 months)

Great book for toddlers!
Our 16 month old just LOVES this book. She always brings this book to us when she sees it and the only one she sits patiently through. Although the short writing on each page helps a lot, as it gives me just enough time to read it all before she turns the page. The pages are VERY well made, very thick and won't bend like some other board books pages. She loves to touch and feel the soft/rough/smooth parts of the pages, then rubs her nose on the kitty's fuzzy tummy at the end. A wonderful book. We also have the That's Not My Bunny: Its Tail Is Too Fluffy (Usborne Touchy Feely) book and she loves that one as well, although it has some similar touch/feel pages.

Iconic books adored by our kids
These are iconic books for little toddlers. Great colours, characters and things to keep little ones interested. The different adjective words and textures are great. The little mouse looking for their friend is so cute. Very durable too. Recommend

Not great
The book itself is fine, but the tactile component is lacking. There isn’t really much to feel. There are other “that’s not my” books that have a more noticeable touch and feel aspect.
