Better than Nile Virus Coil
Been using original one(dark green) for years and I was very happy with, but last time I ordered light green one(right side)z thinking it's the same thing, but it wasn't. The difference was obvious. Light green one is hard to lite up, and doesn't burn all the way to the end. Also it smokes less. Texture is also like pressed carbord like...lol Dark green one is usual one that's easy to lite up, and same old quality that burns all the way to the end.

Not the same as dark green ones
Wish I had checked the reviews first before buying this big bulk pack which I just threw out. Different color, burns weird, smells not the same, smells weird. Honestly I just use the pics because I like the aroma. These make me nauseous.

Not as good as the original
These do repel mosquitoes, but not as well as the previous formulation. I'd give the latter a 10/10, and these an 8/10. You also have to light them well in advance. The darker green, more highly scented version worked almost instantly. My guess is the company changed how these are made in response to complaints about the previous version breaking too easily? The result is a product that indeed breaks apart more easily; in exchange though, the ash isn't ashy - it's mucky. The coils will sometimes extinguish before they're through. The scent isn't as strong. The previous version: yes, you do have to break apart more carefully - but they work instantly, they work great, the holder isn't messy to handle when reusing. Overall though, even this "upgraded" version works better than anything else we've tried. I just wish they hadn't upgraded...

Use them daily in the summer, keeps me from worrying about my old dogs comfort
Keeps the biting bugs away though the flies are not deterred. Lasts through 3/4 of my daylight hours. I am always running out and ordering more. I find these more functional and less scary that those yard sprays which have me worrying about my veggies. On bad days I attach one to a pocket and take it with me.
