Hanpceirs Women's Boatneck Sleeveless Swing Vintage 1950s Cocktail Dress New

I got this to wear on Christmas. I ordered it on December 22n’d, it arrived on time. I got xtra large. I am 5’4” and 170lbs, but most of my weight is on my bum/thighs and arms. I have a narrow waist and small chest. The dress hit exactly at my knee. I haven’t washed it yet and I don’t know, but don’t anticipate it any shrinking. It fit with some additional room in the waist/chest area but was comfortable and fit perfect for a holiday, lots of room for all the food I ate and super comfortable for all the sitting I did, but I could have gotten a large. **NOTE** However, I have to say that it wasn’t what I was expecting, as I buy this dress in different patterns often. It has been one year since I bought one however and these are the noted changes… The material is very different and initially, out the bag I was VERY upset… but there’s a happy ending! So, I have tried to highlight the differences in the attached pictures. For the comparison the older dress from 2021 is Red/Navy, while the Green/Navy dress is the newest from 12/24 (the most recent dress prior to this one is from Winter 2023 and is the same as the red/navy). For starters the new one has a liner…YES, a glorious liner!! I have some small sensory issues, but with this dress… I could sleep in this dress! Don’t get me wrong, the red one is comfortable, but it is nothing compared to the new green/navy lined dress! While the old dress is obviously mostly cotton, evident by everything in the world wanting to stick to it. It does a far better job in catching all the lint than the dryer lint basket!! I now wash and dry that dress alone! Yet it gets worse, the red/navy, notorious for the stubborn wrinkles! The come out with ironing and you get a couple hours of sophistication.. But this new dress (hearts for pupils) The new dress ARRIVED in an amazon special delivery bag(sarcasm) it arrived in a BALL, but that darn thing slipped out and was ready to wear. Now that I think about it, I am pretty sure an iron would melt it, lol! But lets not get bogged down with silly details. What is important is that despite my initial hate and skepticism for the change in material…. after wearing it on Christmas I then decided to wear it on my drive home, 14 hours!!! And that trip was never more comfortable! Lastly, it comes with a sash, of which I didn’t wear around my waist, instead i used it for a headband, when they come with the sash I usually go the headband route, but you should know it was BIG, the sash was ready for anyone’s waist, for real.. Also note there are no sash loops on the dress, which I prefer. Finally, I returned to order more and figured I would leave a review. They’re true to size IMO, comfortable and versatile. I often wear these dresses with a pull over sweater/boat neck.. and you can’t see the top so it appears that I am wearing a skirt and top. Or you can wear a cardigan, or you can wear a white button down dress shirt (fitted), but of course it really needs nothing. Overall it is a very pretty and flattering cut and I love the new material. Not sure what is up with the tags, but I don’t care either. Ordering more.

This dress has an actual liner. It is light weight for spring and summer. For the cost it is definitely a quality item.The color was true to what was presented and it fit perfectly. I want to buy a few more in other colors as this is a very flattering and well-fit dress. It holds up to light machine washing, but I let it air dry (there are no dry cleaners near me). This is the dress for tea socials, business casual and summer dinner parties.

Beautiful dress. I miss the belt. Was not sent. The outfit was great. Would love the belt still. I am 5.5 and weigh 200lbs ordered XL. Fits comfortably and freely. Love it.

The dress is so pretty. The material is thin and will work great for the summer and spring weather. I wear an extra large but order 2x after reading the reviews. Too tight around the bust and stomach area so I’m returning and place a new order for 3x I’m praying the next size will work. I really want to wear this dress for a wedding this month.

Size up I normally wear a XL but for my larger bust I got a 3XL and it fits perfect. I wear a 42 F/G and about 225Ibs and 5’2 without the heels. There is some stretch but not too much. And the material is lighter weight than I assumed it would be but seems like good quality. I got this dress for a funeral and it will be perfect for it.

This is a fine dress for the price. The fabric reminds me a bit of a table cloth or low quality cotton curtains. This sent a fabric I’d normally want for a dress, but it’s possible in this style/cut so in a pinch or if on small budget it can work.Fit:Kind of weird. It’s cut TTS or even big in some spots but is also cut short waisted, so it’s like a TTS petite I guess?I’m 5’8” and usually where a 12/L, sometimes xl on top for chest. I sized up to an XL based on reviews. It actually fit my chest perfectly (I’m shocked) and the cut was wide enough across the chest so my bra wasn’t peaking out of the sides. I should note that I have a smaller than average back and shoulders and felt it slightly digging in my armpits (for reference, my chest circumference is 43” but my back measurement -bra size/under the boob measurement- is 34).The waist was big on me. I think would have preferred the fit of the waist in my more normal size L than the XL I ordered. BUT I did find it short waisted. I’m 5’8” with a long torso so this happens sometimes. Unfortunately, with this being a true fit and flair, having it be short waisted just looks dumpy and terrible.Overall- this is totally on par with a dress you’d get at a cheap fast fashion store in the mall. I’d say order your regular size if your body is average. If you are particularly petite or have a small chest i would suggest maybe ordering a size down. With how well the chest fit me, it makes me think it’s a pretty large cut up top. If you are broad- definitely size up 1 from your normal size and if you’re long torso this probably isn’t the dress for you.The fabric does much better with an iron with a steamer. It arrives unbelievably wrinkled- like this amount of wrinkles takes effort to get. It’s not really passable as formal bc of the fabric. Fine for a Holiday party but not for a wedding. You need a petit coat with this, it looks sad and cheap without it. I’d also recommend getting a quality grosgrain ribbon or use on of your own leather belts to replace the fabric belt that comes with it to make it look a little less cheap.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:So cute! Great quality fabric, has a little stretch, fits as described. I put a petticoat under and it gave the skirt a cute flare. I am 5’8 & 180 lbs and XL fits great
