No Instructions
I can build an custom racing engine by hand including custom cam grind and ignition system. I can't figure out how this "Breath Box" fits an HJC IS-MAX BT helmet. I think the cheek pads have to be pulled loose and somehow the connectors on the ends of the straps attach to something there.Probably this is more accurately a "breath deflector" since it is designed to deflect your breath downward and so not into the helmet visor. How does it install? Your guess is as good as mine... hey... maybe this is an IQ test and I have failed miserably! I am frustrated though. I have searched the Internet for instructions with a diagram/photos or something... no luck! What I have I have found is MANY other people with the same issue... some who have opted to just not use the straps or connectors at all in hopes that the velcro pads will hold the box in place (not good). A few different folks claim to have solved the paradox and provide text instructions but what good are they when they don't provide a point of reference or diagrams! You would figure the manufacture would care if people bought the product and were able to use it properly or not.I can tell you the following knowns:1. The bendable metal tab goes across the bridge of the nose (you shape that to fit your particular anatomy) (picture above is correct).2. The breath box stays with the helmet and is not attached to the modular movable jaw piece (if you have one).3. Likely the connectors on the end of the straps attach inside the removable cheek protectors but now sure where or how. If I figure it out I will leave some good instructions here... just cause the lack of them sucks and I don't want you go go through an hour or two of trying to solve this silly puzzle!4. Likely the right side clips on or off if you decide not to use the box one day... not sure about that.Oh yeah... you get an HJC IS-MAX BT helmet that has the two holes on the top to vent air out of the helmet and the long rectangular opening in the nose to vent the visor -- you will need a breath box. These helmets fog up in even the slightest cool weather and at every exhalation of your breath! Very little air moves in these helmets! You will be forced to ride with the visor open to some degree (not comfortable in cold weather). In fact it fogs up so badly even Rainex Anti-fog on the inside will do you little good!!

It's better than nothing but not great
The straps don't work very well with the helmet. I had to Jerry rig it a little to make it work. The Velcro alone does a half decent job though. It seems to deflect enough breath at speed while snowmobiling to keep the shield from fogging up. If we are stopped it will still fog up if the front of the helmet is not flipped up. It's better than nothing but not great.

Fits the hjc helmet it's made to fit. Do your homework. Great item for me.
Thisproduct fit my HTC SY-MAX beautifully. Is just what it should be. .I was leary of purchasing it do to people who don't know what they're looking for. I have a Lincoln I would not buy a Chevy windshield and expect it to fit. Anyway.plastic tabs locked into helmet perfectly. Great product. If it's what you need this is it. .thank you for a perfect replacement item .don't knock a good item do to lack of knowledge. Pull your cheek pad and insert in slot behind it. If your pad doesn't remove then don't on my part. Mine comes out for it to be installed.

POOR DESIGN
Came with no installation instructions. Tried figuring it out, but it only causes the face screen to fog up even worse.Save your money

3 stars only because this didn't fit my helmet. cant say if it works or not. it was so cheap i simply tossed it in the trash rather then sending it back.

Didn't work too good
This breath box doesn't work as well as I hoped it would with the helmet. It works alright but a motorcycle helmet is not meant for snowmobiling. I would recommend buying a separate snowmobiling helmet instead of this.
