I got this to do some more professional looking podcasts and videos for my treatment rooms in Glasgow. I wanted nicely scripted audio without the Ums and ers.It really is designed for phone or digital camera filming, but with the dslr blackout sleeve I was able to use it with my webcam.This isn't cheaply made, but it's not high quality. Saying that though, it is great value and I would buy this again.The extras in the box are chosen well and make set up of the camera easy as it is highly unlikely that anything else is needed.The remote setup is harder, but there are a few YouTube videos that make it easier.. I like the product and for the money have no hesitation in giving 5 stars.

This is a £50 teleprompter so very good value for money. From the outset I cannibalised the kit to fit my needs. I wanted to mount this on 15mm bars in front of a pro-camera on a pro tripod. The fixings on the teleprompt are not flexible so I drilled two 16mm holes into the uprights to enable it to be pushed onto my bars and secured with a 15mm clamp. This worked. So now I can mount either an iPhone 6s to run app software or a 7inch Aputure HDMI monitor that mirrors a Macbook running Prompter software. . I tend to remote control the iPhone prompt software with a second iPhone on a LAN.Pros: This kit is light and small, and that is a big plus point when location shooting interviews/presentations single operator style. The mirror is just big enough for a 7 inch monitor's display (increase the margins a tad), more than large enough for a iPhone 6 and will still be big enough for an iPhone 6plus or even an iPad mini. If the viewable screen was any bigger then I think you'd detect shifty eye movement as presenters scan left to right.The mirror quality is good... no double images.The leatherette pouch that wraps the lens barrel to stop light spilling in is just right. It is a bit stiff but that has benefits in that fabric does not droop into the shot.The kit doesn't look cheap, although when you handle it there is a plasticky feel.Cons:No manual.The remote control doesn't seem to reliably operate most of the prompt software I am using. Some buttons work but operate the wrong functions. I gave up bothering.The iPhone clamp for the script playback is fine but the use of an iPad or 7 inch monitor (which to be fair is not in the design spec) will mean a slight bodge to lay it in the right place.I ran this set up with a 35mm lens to give a MS of the presenter at 8 foot away. The prompt kit does not encroach the shot and the script is still readable at that distance and size.I didn't use the second iPhone clamp for recording on a phone, nor the bluetooth, nor the supplied app., nor the black lens gasketsSo all in all this setup works for me and I no longer need to use the larger pro prompter I kit that was too cumbersome.

It's well built. It just needs a much better remote control and detailed user instructions in English with large and clear photographs.I had to send mine back.

This item appears well built; the surface is of a matte finish which gives it a premium look. The price is reasonable; for a first time buyer you're not overly put off thinking if it doesn't work I would have lost a lot of money. The remote control is good and responsive every time I've used it. I've only used it with my dslr so far and that has been easy to set up with no glare whatsoever in the footage.Ultimately it was easy to use; however, it loses two stars due to lack of English Instructions; they are in Chinese; I had to be creative and do some guesswork as well before I eventually got it working; I don't think a translated copy would have been that hard to produce.

I make tech review videos for my youtube channel (Conveyor of Randomness with Andre), to which, I have reviewed this product on there, and I'm always forgetting my lines so thought a teleprompter would help. At its price, this teleprompter is an ideal start point as you aren't breaking the bank. It's useful for anyone recording on any mobile phone or DSLR camera thanks to its versatility and ability the cater for both recording devices.The best part of it is the remote control, I can set up the teleprompter on my tripod and use the remote control from my recording position without even getting up from my seat. The app on the phone I use with the teleprompter words is easy to use (despite being in Chinese).Since using this mini teleprompter, I think my overall verbal communication and confidence in front of the camera has improved. Definitely a product I'd highly recommend

Very useful, spend a bit of time with this in order to get the most out of it, but this is very useful for me.

This is an impressive piece of kit with all necessary accessories included, and represents excellent value for money. Works perfectly with a camcorder (and the easy-to-use app on a phone to display scripts).

It was a waste of time and money purchasing this product as it did not perform the function I was looking for.I could not record on my phone with this teleprompter tool as it would not allow the entire phone screen to be seen in the mirror. The instructions were written in Chinese. But found English version on Amazon website. But in general I discovered this was not a helpful product.
