1313: Haunted Frat

What can one possibly say about a 1313 series flick from David DeCoteau without using words that would be x-rated and far exceed any x-factor in this film? Photographed in what has become the 1313 house (a sterile, meandering haunt) in Malibu, we see young men walking aimlessly around with nothing on but their tideywhiteys, playing a bit of catch football which ends with some silly body grabbing wrestling, or swimming back and forth in an outdoor pool which has obviously been relooped. The same thing holds for one individual who is shown working out on a pull up bar. Seemingly endless relooping shows his activity and bared upper body muscularity. This film is supposed to be some sort of frat get together. But, as it happens, this house was built on top of what was once an asylum for the insane. One female resident, locked in a padded cell, was burned to death when the asylum went up in flames and she could not be saved. Evidently, her corporeal ghost now haunts this house and a mere touch which is barely felt if felt at all is enough to turn any of the young men into a zombie. Their numbers expand as they "initiate" other frat members off camera who never resist and are obviously overcome. A couple of separate shower scenes involving two young men who endlessly rub their bodies with soapless water while the camera never goes below their hip line are supposed to titillate us. If you're lucky you'll fall asleep during all this. Commentary by DeCoteau which is available in a Special Feature is so inane that one could go into a sugar shock. One young man is described as being "sweet" so many times that one wonders if DeCoteau is drooling while talking. At one point DeCoteau admits that the film was too short (I thought that it was exceedingly long) and, therefore, confesses to lengthening it by having that "sweet" near nude young man walk around the house and the outside deck for about 10+ excruciating minutes before winding up in one of the rooms. I won't give away the ending - I'm not even sure if there was one or if they didn't just run out of film. In conclusion: This is Dreck with a Capital D and should be avoided at all cost lest you turn into a zombie. Or worse; get invited to the 1313 house.

Same house, same showers, same *dup* guys, same special power. Same everything to Scary Kerry but that movie wins hands down to this one. It took around 17 minutes watching the same guy take the same walk as in the other movie. About three lines were said and noting until 25'ish minutes for the next. I suppose the producer and director decided to pay according to Line Laws. Those don't pay for a days transportation and a meal in LA.I get it, hot guys, uninterrupted viewing of said guys. Hot house, hot idea regarding the powers from a ghost, snappy hottie asking for others to see what he sees, do what he does and then ponders it all laying on a bed that turns my world sideways while I pull up the memories of that other movie. It doesn't seem to bother anyone a. Enjoy all of that but at least make some changes so we don't feel jipped.

Acting is mediocre, plot is kind of lame, scenery is good. I basically bought this for one specific actor, Graham Rogers. I'm a big fan of his from Revolution, State Farm commercial, and other acting gigs he's done. He's a great actor, and pretty attractive. There were also a couple other good looking actors in this movie. So overall, the movie kind of sucks but the eye candy is plentiful. ^_^ Good thing the price was low.

I think one of the last scenes with the muscular hunk working out was worth the price of admission. It is one of the hottest and most erotic things I have ever seen, despite there not being any nudity nor sex. It takes great creativity to make this type of erotica which lets an open-minded viewer's imagination run wild.
