So pleased to have found environmentally friendly cotton buds that also don't come packed in ANY plastic! From the Amazon box right down to the cotton buds themselves the only packaging is cardboard boxes, paper cushioning, and adhesive paper-like tabs.The cotton buds themselves work well and are really durable, and are fully biodegradable made from only bamboo and organic cotton. There's no reason why these couldn't be recycled one used (check with your local council) but even if not they still replace plastic ones in landfill with natural biodegradable and compostable ones :) I fully recommend buying these, they're well worth the price!Thank you so much, Alyn! I bought these as we are trying to reduce our use of plastic and because I was fed up with how poor the plastics one are. They bend constantly and the cotton often comes off which is dangerous as it could easily get stuck in your ears. Not the case with these bamboo ones! They are so much better, the fact they are completely biodegradable is just a bonus. They don't bend at all and I don't feel worried about the cotton coming off. And then when you are done just chuck them in your food waste bin. Excellent product. The only slight negative would be the price in that it may put people off buying them when you can get 200 plastic ones for less then a pound. But in my opinion these are worth the extra money.

I love these buds, nice and sturdy with just enough cotton on for me. Other half would prefer them to have more cotton but I think they're perfect as is since I worry about the cotton coming off in my ears (don't fancy a trip to the docs to have them syringed ew). We use these for lots of purposes but as makeup applicators and for squeezing spots without damaging skin with nails they can't be beaten. Better than the new cardboard rod buds by far and in some ways superior to the old plastic ones.I've had these a while now and can't remember how they were packaged but the buds themselves are in strong cardboard box containers so the product itself is very environmentally friendly. I bought these to try and reduce the amount of plastic bathroom waste I produce. I've used cotton buds every day for a long time, but since becoming more aware of the impact that single use plastics have on our planet I was looking for a suitable sustainable switch. I am so pleased that I found these bamboo buds. I feel much better knowing that I'm using a biodegradable material. They work even better than the mainstream cotton buds as the bamboo is stronger and there's a good amount of cotton on each end. My multipack of four boxes arrived on time and the buds look great in my bathroom!!

These cotton buds have gone down so well with my family! They’re so comfortable, safe and work just as well as any other cotton bud. I love the fact they are 100% biodegradable and even the packaging they came in contains absolutely ZERO plastic! The box is so cute and the pricing is incredibly reasonable. 800 cotton buds for £9.99 works out just about the same as supermarket prices I’d say but considering these won’t stay and pollute our planet for years to come I think they are worth every penny!

Good points:These are really good quality and clean well - especially if you are gentle and don't over use them (see below).Packaging is completely recyclable too. Winner on this front!You get LOADS for your money.You have to get used to using them - as they are not as flexible as the plastic we are used too, so the wooden stick will snap if you pressure it too much. But you're not meant to be rough when using cotton buds, so this makes you take more care with your body, with a softer touch.Bad Point:One bud I used, the cotton came off the end - BUT this was when I first started using them and was being too rough, applying too much pressure like you can with plastic buds and probably over using one. Use two if you need to. It's never ever, happened again.Conclusion: after researching which cotton buds to use, these are really good and make me feel happy i'm not contributing to harming the planet. One query being.. where to dispose of them?

I've been trying to limit the waste of my make up and nail polishing routines. Switching to these cotton buds is the way I've decided to go for cleaning up small makeup or nail polish messes. In addition to ceasing the use of cotton rounds and makeup wipes completely, it has reduced my waste a little. I use scraps of fabric, soap and water or acetone as needed for cleaning my makeup brushes, taking off my makeup or taking off my nail polish. These buds are the same shape and size as the plastic ones I've been using so far so switching was super easy. They go in the compost bin - I don't have one in my building so I take these to work where there is one. I realise not everyone has the option to compost so ask around to see if there are any options for you. The packaging does not have any plastic and buying 800 pieces in one go means less packaging altogether. They are durable and good quality so I'm very happy with them.

These were absolutely brilliant, they didn't bend or break like the leading brand. I've always felt guilty to what happens to the leading brand ones once I've thrown them away, so thats why I'm now never goin to use them again, im totally converted to these bamboo ones and happy i can now recycle them by composting them too. You may be a small company but I have a feeling that once people start spreading the word....you won't be!! But most importantly these simple small changes will all help the environment eventually over time, it's a great step in the right direction and I know that this product won't be washed up on some beautiful wgite sandy beach somewhere like the plastic leading brands have been, so yes I would recommend this product to everyone!!
