Dart Valley Fungi Mushroom Growing Kit (XL Blue-Grey Oyster) | Mushroom Kit

We bought this as a Christmas present for a 7 year old. We followed the instructions that came with the kit. It takes a while to get going and if you're buying for a younger child as we did they will need help (to be expected). We maintained moisture in the box with the supplied water sprayer and after a few weeks the mushrooms started to grow. Once the mushrooms starts to grow they increase in size very quickly so make sure you keep an eye on them. The result was a good crop of very tasty oyster mushroom. We maintained moisture levels going forward and a few weeks later we got a second crop. Overall very pleased with the product and it was a very enjoyable activity to do with kids. Would definitely recommend.

In all honesty didn't know you could even buy this - but my mum wanted a mushroom growing kit for Christmas when asked, so I bought this one. I thought it would be tiny because mushrooms are so small but it was actually in a massive box like a shoe box size, so it made a good gift! My mum really loved it, and apparently was told to send for 'spawn' separately as it has to be 'fresh' so can't be shipped with the rest of the box (again i have no idea what this means but she liked it). Apparently the spawn was free post and came the next day...so that's good. its on the top of her wardrobe now so she's gonna check it on the 17th January. I hope she gets the results she needs mushroom-wise, but I was really happy with the service, its been quick and the kit is nicely packaged. All in all a really weird but fun xmas gift. ThanksUpdate - it made two batches of mushrooms so she was really happy

You have to have patience with this product and persistant in the watering. I got 1 flush after about 35-40 days, after that I waited and watered and was ready to throw it away, but I can see another flush coming now. It's been fun watching them grow but time consuming.

This is a good value product for people new to growing their own food/mushrooms. Everything you need is in the supplied kit including a very detailed set of instructions.Have had contact with the seller, over a month later in regards to some questions I have had and they have been more than helpful. Would definitely recommend this for anyone who is interested in growing their own produce

Got 3 great flushes out of this grow bag, and I’m super happy with the results! The first flush was big and impressive, the second was still solid, and even the third gave me a decent yield. Followed the care instructions, and everything went smoothly—easy to use and totally worth it. Would definitely buy again

Very happy with my grow kit :) The instructions are very clear and easy to follow so I'm feeling pretty confident that my mushrooms will be with me soon. Deffinetly a great (and delicious) project to get working on especially in covid times hahah.

First box I had bought had given 3 crops so I bought more but these didn't grow at all. Very disappointed as I have IBS and oyster mushrooms are the only mushrooms I can eat so I thought this would help make the limitations on my diet into a fun project as can't get oyster mushies in the supermarket I shop at atm.But now that these ones never grew at all, I shan't buy anymore as I just feel a fool for spending so much money and not getting a single mushroom out of it

Baby mushrooms! Excellent kit and our mushrooms have started to sprout. Looking forwards to eating them. My 12 year old daughter has very much enjoyed growing them also.
