Glad I purchased this!
I installed the rear sway bar awhile ago and was amazed at the difference it made. Decided to upgrade the front one as well. I purchased new sway bar arms from my dealer because trust me… they almost always break from rust. Went together super easy. Make sure you have some good rust penetrant spray for removing the old hardware. Would buy again for sure!!

Mixed Blessing
Replaced the OEM sway bar on my 2000 Tundra 4WD because two snapped on me due to a defect (like a saw had cut 1/3 through). Unquestionably stronger and stiffer than the OEM bar but now the next weakest link fails. I do a lot of off-roading and this super stiff bar punishes the sway bar links and end grommets. I've broken maybe a half-dozen links. Some cheap ones from eBay only lasted 20-miles off road. The ACDelco links go about a year. I just installed a Moog link, definitely stouter but only time will tell if it'll last longer. As to the grommets, cheap OEM ones last a month or two, then they just disappear. Just installed a polyurethane set, I'm hopeful.Installing the sway bar required me to enlarge several holes in the frame for the included bolts. This thing is heavy, best to have a friend hold it until the threads are started.

All I can say is wow!
What a huge difference the sway bars made. Makes the 2006 toyota tundra handle soooo much better. I recommend adding the rear sway bar first then seeing if it handles the way you like. I opted for both the front and the rear and it feels like the truck is more stable and planted around corners. I do recommend replacing your sway bar end links (oem or trw) when you change the front sway bar. Overall one of the best upgrades done so far.

Love the swaybar! My Tundra handles like a car!
The Helwig 7697 front sway works great on my 2001 Tundra V-8 4x4! I have an otherwise stock suspension, at stock ride height, using Bilstein shocks. The sway bar allows me to take corners much faster than before. The handling is nice and crisp. Almost car like. The bar is almost double the size of the stock bar. The ride quality is just a little bit stiffer, especially when only one tire hits a bump or pothole, but it's not at all harsh. I love it! I have no plans to add the Hellwig rear swaybar. I don't feel that it's needed, since my bed is normally empty and I don't tow.

Great addition to a Tundra
Great addition to the early model Tundras. Definitely helps it drive much more car like. Much more substantial than the stock sway bar. Noticeable difference to handling, but the rear sway bar drastically improves handling.

It's a easy bolt on
Buy one if you have a lifted truck. Huge difference over stock. It's a easy bolt on, takes about a hour to install and vastly improves the feel
