How do I turn on and off the rgb

In cynosa v2, you can donwload Synapse software from Razer webpage and there you can decide which color or if you want to keep the rgb off.

Is the keyboard connected by usb? if so, what kind of usb? usb-a, b, c?

USB B is the almost square connector like printers used to use. The Cynosa Lite uses a hardwired (non removable from the keyboard) USB A connector. Standard usb into pc connector!

What does "gaming mode" do?

Out of the box it turns off the Windows logo key. You can configure it for a couple other keys to turn off too.

What is the difference between the cynosa lite and the cynosa?

Razer Cynosa Chroma has an anti-ghosting feature on its 10-key rollover and that it has individual key chroma keys, while Razer Cynosa Lite has single-zone backlighting.
