Amazing 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book is amazing. It could have been written by my son as his journey apart from him having an amazing 1:1.I read it and then we read it together to my son. It helped him understand he wasn’t alone and someone else felt like he did. It has also helped us with a transition to a new school and why we need to move him.All the family are reading it as well as his older brother (who is 9, C is 7).I have also bought additional books to send to his old mainstream school in the hope that someone might read it and start to understand so another child might not have to go through the same journey.I have also purchased Spencer’s mums story Life on an alien planet which I am waiting to arrive.Well done this book is amazing 🌟

Amazing book
When I ordered this book I didn't realise the author was a child - I assumed he was a grown up writing about his childhood.Spencer is an amazing writer and myself and my son really enjoyed reading about his journey so far. My son especially related to the book, even more so as he is the same age as Spencer when he wrote it.Thank you Spencer for sharing your story. I hope you go on to do great things in your future, but above all, I hope your are happy.

A little book with a huge message. A must read for Educators. Gives us insight, most of all hope.
A wonderful overview of how it feels and “is” to be a person with PDA. It is rich with intelligence, honest, sometimes funny and sometimes very sad. I didn’t know if I was crying for joy, or heartbreak at the judgement still put upon young children in our Society. All children and especially Adults should read this book about an ordinary family who have become extraordinary by giving Spencer this platform allowing us a true insight into his World and others like him.I would like all Teachers to be given books like these to give them true insight into what it is like to be an individual. This is the Real stuff, not out of a text book. Thank you Spencer.

must read for parents or professionals who works or loves with a child who has PDA or suspected PDA
My son is diagnosed with Autism he has a profile of Pathological demand avoidance. This book made me cry all the way through as I felt It was as if my son could have written it. The struggle and victimisation our children go through within school is horrific. It’s great to read from the child’s view rather than Doctors or Psychiatrists or the parents or social workers who write the other books I’ve read. Definitely 5 stars. Made me see through my child’s eyes.

Thankyou!
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to Spencer for writing his book. My husband and I have been so lost since our 6 year old received a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD and PDA in January. Nothing was making sense about his behaviours and the strategies we have been using for ASD seem not to be effective. Spencer's story mirrors exactly what is happening for our little man. This book has given us so much strength, hope and direction. Thankyou :-)

Well done!
I bought this after seeing it mentioned on a PDA facebook page. My daughter has recently been diagnosed and so thought that it would be insightful for me to read and for her to read when she is a bit older. So well written for such a young child and gives a great window into what goes through a childs mind trying to understand PDA. Thank you for writing this

Fantastic book a must read
This is a fantastic book and gives a very good insight as to what daily life at school is like without the proper understanding and a school that completely understands and changes the child’s integration into school education. Read the book in a couple of ours it just made you want to continue to read it.
