Women's Long Dress with Mandarin Neckline Jacket (Regular Petite Plus)

I actually ended up ordering a size too large since my size wasn't available, so I had to have it altered by having the shoulder straps pulled up. I wore this to my daughter's formal wedding and reception and received numerous compliments! Sure, some of the sparkles fall off, but it's not like it sheds sparkles. It wasn't excessive and no big deal for the amount of sparkles that came off. I think you expect that with any item that has any type of sparkle to t. I had this dress and jacket dry cleaned afterward and it turned out fine, but I do use a good cleaners, not a "budget" type cleaners as I wanted the dress properly cleaned and not ruined. I tried on numerous long dresses to wear in my daughter's wedding and was thrilled to find this one! It was comfortable and helped to not reveal every single lump and bump from someone wearing this size. :)

Absolutely love this dress! Wore it for my niece's wedding when I lit the Unity candle with the groom's mom. I stood in for my sister who passed away last year. I received a lot of complements ... the dress is very flattering, comfortable, & very well made. I did need alterations, but that is not a negative for the dress ... just different body type than the norm. I would definitely recommend this dress.

I wear 2X and 16w is great fit, covers all the problem areas and does not require special undergarments. I’m 5’6” and will need about a 2” heel.

Beautifully cut, hangs well. Flattering with a soft flowy skirt. The draw back is the glitter on the top and jacket. It is ...glitter. Fresh out of the bag the dress leaves a trail of glitter. The top and jacket fabric is a nice textured fabric...with glitter. The skirt has a nice soft chiffon-y overlay that hides body flaws pretty well. The sleeves on the jacket are not too tight which is often a problem for me. It fits very comfortably. The top is a bit big for me which is a bit unusual, but easily remedied with very minor alterations. This, out of about 30 dresses I have tried is the winner for me to wear to my daughters wedding! Very forgiving, very flattering. Nice deep gray.

This is a very nice formal dress! Fits size 16 well, as expected. Too long for 5'4" without stilettos, so will need to hem. Glitter does get everywhere from jacket, as it does with similar items. Smoke color is a beautiful dark gray, almost black, and the jacket has a nice, subtle pattern with stretch. Can wear jacket open or closed with a hook-and-eye at the top of the mandarin collar.

I wore this to my daughters wedding. I saw a very similar dress at a Bridal store in the mother-of-the-bride section, but it was in a larger size. They suggested I special order it in a size 10, but it was gong to be very expensive. I went home and on a wim looked at Amazon. I saw the same dress, and it was an Alex Evenings dress. Then I saw this Alex Evenings dress, and it was such a gorgeous shade of smoky grey and not at all expensive so I took a chance on it. I loved the fit and the color was very flattering (a smoky charcoal grey with just a hint of blue).

Because of other reviews, I ordered a size larger (I was on a very short time table so I wouldn't have time to return), and it worked out great. The fit was nice, with only a few adjustments needed (I took up the shoulder straps and hemmed the dress and liner about 4 inches).It was a beautiful dress, made me feel very elegant and just as important, was VERY comfortable for a long day of wedding activities.

This was really a beautiful dress for a somewhat reasonable price. It was tasteful, classy, but with a tiny amount of bling. It was a pretty royal blue color that almost seemed to have a purple tint. However, I ordered my usual size and it was at least two sizes too large. In order to wear it, I would have had to have the waist, bust, and straps altered significantly and would have had to had it hemmed about 8" (I'm 5'4"). This was for a wedding that was coming up too soon to return it for a much smaller size.

It was okay. Stretchy material. Jacket was nice.

Purchased for my mom as Mother of the Bride Dress.Was delivered with in a week. The fit was true to size and very little alterations were needed.
