Is the background truly white or is it more cream/ivory?

It is ‘white,’ but there are shades of white. This white is a softer hue, probably what might better be considered ivory. It is a lovely spread, very spring-like.

Is this quilt longer than it is wide, or wider than it is long?

I have a queen bed and bought a king quilt. When the birds are straight on bed, the sides go almost to floor. My husband recently washed quilt and put back on bed with birds sideways (standing at bottom of bed) and the sides go halfway down. Hope this helps.

Excellent Quality!!

Love this brand! I have bought several bedspreads and different styles, and have never been disappointed. The color does not fade when washed like many other bedspreads. It just feels better quality than other brands! This particular pattern is beautiful.
