A valuable perspective!
This book brings Job the man down to earth and makes the reader examine the realities of what is important in life.Something we can all learn from Job is that we have a need to reflect on life's fleeting opportunities, and we can make the most of what time we are given before our time is up.

Seeing My Prime
Such a compassionate yet powerful look at the life of Job. It changed my whole outlook of Job's life from one of torment and unanswered questions to one of redemption and intentional faith--Job's in God AND God's in Job. Likewise, it changed mine, too. McConnel is a gifted communicator.

A must read!
This book, although small and a quick read, will be one of the biggest Blessings you can experience in your life. It made me look at the book of Job in a whole new light; as relatable and inspiring to our lives today. McConnell brings such an interesting perspective, for todays world, to Biblical truths. He adds in some history and geography, along with stories of his personal trials; making it a book that everyone can get encouragement from. I will strongly suggest this to Pastors, Bible Study leaders and everyone else as the perfect guide book for any Christian group. I will also be purchasing many copies as gifts. This is a book that will change people's lives for the better and everyone should read!

Terrific book!
I came across The Prime of my Days last week and ordered a copy. I just finished reading it and wanted to pass along my review. It was incredibly insightful, humorous, and well-written. I thoroughly enjoyed it and dog-eared several pages for quick future reference! I would highly recommend this for believers in all walks of life. It was especially impactful for my thinking as a father and my calling in my career. I would love to see more books written by McConnell!

Friendship with God
When I saw the lead line "Lessons in the Prime of Life from the Book of Job" I thought, WHAT????? I have stayed clear of the Book of Job because I thought it was depressing, but Mark shows how a friendship with God supersedes all circumstances. Cleverly written, clearly understood and keeps you engaged to the end. "God doesn't desire to be a mere acquaintance of ours. He desires to be our friend. And while this friend can never be fully understood, He can be known. God is never guilty of holding back a piece of His heart in His relationship with us."

Whether you've read the book of Job or not, Mark's book will inspire you to find your Bible and dive into Job's story. The author does a superb job of introducing you to Job as a person, where he was from, and what he was all about. Mark's dedication and passion for Job's story is evident from the first page to the last. Througout the book you will learn lessons about today's social culture and how it relates to Job. This book provides training to live honorably, persevere through worldy circumstances, and focus on God's greater reward. McConnell's book will bless those that read it.

Powerful, Substantive & Relevant
Mark McConnell very ably weaves Biblical principles from the life of Job with relevant modern scenarios that exhorts our generation that God not only can have a tremendous power and influence over us, but also desires to walk with us in an eternal friendship. A very well written book!
