Awesome gadget for overgrown weeds
Excellent. We have a serious wild onion grass problem that grew out of control this year and I didn't realize how bad until it was too late. No money for a landscaper and didn't want to get the weedwacker all oniony. This worked excellently and efficiently. I highly recommend wearing heavy gloves and being careful. The blade is very sharp. Excellent quality.

Sharp and well made sickle
The sickle design is perhaps the most efficient method at trimming or pruning plants. The curved blade and pulling motion allow the almost effortless cutting action. The machete is sometimes overkill in cutting power and effort when it comes to green branches and the sharpness of the machete may not be enough for clean cuts. Clippers will do the job at trimming green branches but the motion of gripping and regripping can grow tiresome after hours of work. A very sharp sickle will cut with a slight flick of the wrist and the lightweight sickle is very efficient. The sickle arrives very sharp and is ready to cut. The handle and blade are of good quality and the blade is sharpened with a chisel grind, meaning only one side is sharpened. Clean and oil the blade after use to prevent corrosion. I'm very glad that I bought this sickle.

Razor Sharp quarter combat approved lol
There’s a reason this style of sickle has been around for literally thousands of years! It works! And this one works brilliantly. Although I was not quite sure how confident I was giving it to the little lady!! for whatever reason I became much more polite, complimented her more, and in general was a better human being, lol These things are razor Sharp and work in close quarters very easily and she absolutely loves it! I’m still slightly on the fence about it!

No blade sheath, injury and blade damage risk
Decent tool. However, it has no sheath to store. I’ve had mine for a couple years and I’m constantly trying to avoided both cutting myself and damaging the blade. It arrives with a cellophane-thin blade cover that the blade slices immediately. I have searched for a retrofit leather or vinyl sheath, but have still been unable to find one. I keep mine blade-down in a bucket. Though it’s far from ideal and still isn’t secure.

Exceptional Quality for the Proletariat!
Excellent balance and sharpness—ideal for the harvests that feed the masses. This sickle is easy to use, even during extended periods of collective labor. Be warned, however: the blade is so sharp that I cut myself just removing the packaging! So far, I’ve used it to clear thick weeds and even small poplars in areas that can’t be mowed, and it has performed exceptionally well. A solid tool.

Not quite what I expected but love it.
I bought this sickle with the intention of using it to clear weeds in my yard. I was disappointed by what I received. The handle feels light and flimsy despite being made of aluminum (although I would love to be proven wrong). I don't think this would stand up to anything beyond grass and weed cutting. I don't think it would last against the box oak sapplings I am littered with by my neighbors tree. The lack of weight in the handle causes the sickle to feel unbalanced when swinging it. I was also disappointed by the quality of the blade. As you can see for my second photo the blade was not sharpened correctly and actually has two different angles on the metal. My wife is a sharpener and so I showed her this obvious flaw in the blade and she said she can fix it however she can also see that the metal is soft and will need sharpening often. EDIT: after using the sickle, I found out that it is a much better tool than I thought. This is not a hacking tool like a machete. If you use it like one, it will act cheap and flimsy and will not work well. This is a pulling tool. Put it against a clump of grass or against a green branch and pull and it will slice like butter. When I tried to hack with the tool, it didn't do much at all and dented the blade. But now that I am using it correctly, I almost never get blade damage and it cuts really nice. The metal is still on the soft side so regular sharpening is recommended. But this tool has now become one of my favourite tools for yard cleanup. I recommend it for anyone who has grasses, weeds, or thin branches to clear.

Buen producto.
La agarradera de hule se le salió de su base de aluminio, el acero de la cuchilla hay que mantenerlo con poco de aceite, se oxida rápido.
