I have never reviewed anything in my life. But this product is amazing. Ill explain realistically what to expect with this product. I feel that too many reviews are from people with unrealistic expectations regarding the product.We have a boxer and a cocker spaniel. The boxer practically floods our house when he drinks water and is ruining our wood floors because there aren't enough towels in the world to keep up with this level of spillage. The cocker spaniel also will constantly have wet ears from drinking the water which start to smell after a while and gets on us when petting her.Training the dogs was super easy. I guess some dogs might have issues but I dont see it. Our dogs are not the smartest animals and they figured it out no problem. We put a treat on it to show them but I'm confident they would have figured it out without the treat.The boxer drinks it and no water pours out from the bowl. Zero. When he walks away, the edge of his lips are wet so I've noticed a drop or two that will fall. But that's negligible in my opinion compared to before.The cocker spaniel still will get the edge of her ears wet from drinking but again its not to the extent as it was before and we really got it for the boxer.Another huge plus that we didnt realize before buying it...I will run with my boxer and sometimes he would immediately run to the water bowl and inhale the entire bowl too fast. If we didnt catch it soon enough he would end up throwing up all that he drank. This bowl forces him to slow down since only a little bit of water is available at a time.Negatives:I've seen other reviews where the dog would destroy the bowl. We didn't experience it but it obviously can happen. I guess you wont know until you try it.The other thing I can see happening is that there isnt a way to stop the dog from burying his nose into the lid forcing more water out which would defeat the purpose. This is another thing that you wont know until you try.Lastly, we had a giant fountain waterer for the pups. We only had to fill it once a week. This is much smaller and forces you to have to fill it once a day. It would be nice if they had an extra large version to last longer. But its easy to fill back up since it doesn't spill. Refilling the fountain was an Olympic event to bring it from the sink to the dog area without spilling it.Conclusion:Its not a perfect solution that will never amount to a 100% dry area. But if you have a messy drinker this will 100% be better than before.And like the maze eaters that slow down fast eating, this seems to slow down fast drinking too.The benefits that it brings outweigh the price that it costs. And its Amazon, return it if it doesn't work. But chances are it will.

My dogs, Cane Corso and Corgi got used to the bowl immediately. The only mistake I made was getting the smaller one. I went ahead and ordered the larger one for home. Great product.

My dog has to sleep in a crate at night since she's still young and very mischievous). I have to let her out twice at night just for a drink. (She requires a lot of water). This wonderful bowl solved the problems of her deliberately knocking her water dish over, and now I can also sleep through the night without having to get up to water her. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago.

Bought to discourage one of our two cats from playing with his water. The issue we found is that the floating plastic 'tray' that sits on top of the water is clearly made for a dog. Where a dog will push the tray down slightly with their snout and get plenty of water access a cat's face is small enough they aren't pressing the tray down, they're just trying to drink out of the small center section.Our cats would try to solve this by "hitting" the floating tray with their paw. Which does make the water level rise but of course it's only temporary. By the time the bent back over to drink the water had receded.Our solution was actually to take the floating tray out, split it open (it's two plastic pieces that are friction-fit together) and simply add some weight inside. With just a few ounces of weight in the tray it'll float lower and therefore expose more water in the center.This extra water at the bottom better accommodates a cat's face size/shape.So I recommend that solution if your pet needs slightly more water access. Because the floating tray can be opened and closed you can fine tune the weight. I'm sure this wasn't supposed to be a feature but it was super helpful.

I was worried at first because she seemed uninterested, but as advised you have to be patient with your pup. I caught her drinking from it and no mess no spills!! Buy It!! Great Bowl!

I bought this product and another round one from a different manufacturer. This is far superior to the other product and worth the extra couple dollars. The floating part works perfectly. I actually thought that the round one I bought was a better design, but I was totally wrong. The square never gets stuck (the round one does) and it does a great job minimizing the amount of water that lands on my floor. I haven't used this for in the car or anything like that, but I have a puppy that insists on washing his paws in his water bowl after every meal and it has nearly eliminated that problem. If my puppy sees water, he puts his paws in it. And, because he can't see the water he doesn't put his paws in it. He only puts his paws in this bowl if it is empty and I don't mind that, there's no mess and I appreciate the heads-up. It seems to be very well built, it's easy to use and cleaning is easy because it's not hard to take apart. I highly recommend spending a couple extra dollars for this product.

Daughter’s 16m old Cocker Spaniel came to stay and suddenly we had her drinking water dripped all over kitchen floor from her ears and chops whenever drinking from her regular bowl. I ordered this (smaller one) and she understood how to drink from it instantly. No water dripped on floor and her ears remained dry! I then bought another for the lounge which has carpet and not a problem with her drinking in the lounge any more. Who would have thought this water bowl can make such a difference and safer too not to have wet floors in such busy home areas. The top of the water does not get covered in dust or hairs either so is more hygienic. I wash it out completely and refill every morning with fresh water which is all it needs. Totally happy customer and happy dog.

We’d been concerned our pooch wasn’t drinking enough water. Our son had one of these for his dog and ours took to it like a duck to water. Think it’s because his floppy ears don’t get wet like with a bowl. Great product.

The media could not be loaded.  Rupert Bear is THE messiest drinker ever! He saturates the floor when drinking, making it treacherous and then leaves a trail all over the floors. This little dog bowl is genius!

My dog (Jack Russell) is a gulper and sometimes he drinks so quickly he makes himself sick. So this bowl slows him down and allows him to drink as much as he wants without leading to an upset tummy. It also stops water going everywhere on the tiles when he drinks from it. Highly recommend.
