When paired with the cerbo gx, would this enable me to turn on/off a victron multiplus inverter?

Yes. You can turn on the inverter from the touch 50. Easiest way I have found is to make sure to enable the “Show boat & mororhome overview” option in display and settings. That will add an additional screen that will have a button to set Input current limit and also one to turn multiplus on off or charge only.

Does this touch screen stay lit constantly or only when you touch it?

only when you touch it, then stays lit for a couple of minutes

Can ipad pro be used to view and control the cerbo gx. do i need to purchase a few other control boxes to make this happen.

I have a cerbo gx and a lynx shunt, do i still need a separate BMS system to monitor my batteries?

Yes, the two systems you listed are observation tools. The BMS is an active tool in monitoring the state of the battery's and protecting them from excessive temperature variation and over charging among other things.

Easy Connectivity

We purchased the Victron Energy GX touch 50 display screen for our Cerbo GX in our fifth wheel. Installation was fairly easy, although we did have the help of an expert providing assistance to us. The product is easy to update and program. The device is able to link to the victron energy app to monitor the system that it is connected to while away from the unit. Quality appears to be well-made and we purchased the smaller unit and saved some money.

Great for realtime status

I’m not sure who had the bright idea of an HDMI end on the cable. Fishing that through a trailer wall took me 4 hours because of that connector. Outside of fishing issues, the panel appears to be working great. Gives me visibility to the system. However, to actually make settings changes, I have been using the Victron app and connecting to each component via Bluetooth. I thought I was supposed to be able to do all that through this panel.
