Works great!
Purchased these for my work, and so far, they are working amazingly. Easy to use, and would recommend them.

Don't buy! Stuck in kiosk mode.
Buyer beware. This unit is essentially bricked. It came locked in Kiosk mode and even after following a factory reset, it reverts to kiosk mode after minutes. Seller does not provide a code and recommends factory reset. I tried using sonim cloud software to remotely unlock the kiosk mode and the software states the IMEI is already registered. I have submitted this information to the seller and if it gets figured out, I will update this review. Until then, don't buy!

Best phone I've ever owned.
What a pleasure to use. Great design and tough as nails. I can't find anything to complain about with this phone and I've owned many through the years, of which I unfortunately can't say the same. If you need it, buy it. Built like a tank. Looks and acts brand new.

The phone is great, but watch out who you buy from as "A+" and "mint" descriptions are exaggerated!
The phone is great -- indestructible, but I bought it from the lowest cost seller and had to send it back. They promised it was A+ / Mint etc. condition, but in reality all someone did was wipe a rag over it and put it in a generic box with generic charger. The phone wouldn't even power up when I got it. Compounding this, the seller took their sweet time refunding my purchase price. The seller listed it as "Amazon Refurbished" which I've bought before and had good luck with, but all they really did was list it as the mfg. as being "Amazon Refurbished" instead of Sonim, like it should be. Totally dishonest.

Looks brand new, Works great
Very pleased with my purchase. The phone looks brand new and works great. Battery life/total charge seems unaffected which was nice as other refurb phones I've purchased in the past from others had significant total battery life issues. Great deal for a virtually new phone that AT&T is charging $700+ for.

poor support in getting the phone to work
the phone was received in good condition but unfortunately could not be used as it was SIM locked and nobody could assist in getting it unlocked. Even called Sonim directly and they could not assist due to it being a refurbished unit. It's just plain dumb to sell something and no one can unlock the SIM PIN

BITTERSWEET!
This is the second XP8 that I have owned as it seems like when they get so many hours on them the processor goes to heck. My first one that I bought refurbished lasted a while and then it started going into black screen when calls came in making it so that you cannot answer nor do you know who is calling. My second phone is starting to do the same thing. Sonim needs to get their act together and release their anticipated XP10! I will not buy another one of these when this completely fails as they have many great features but they do not last very long.
