Arrived with the battery at 0% - Update: True capacity is only 27.7% of 23,000 mAh
One of the worst things you can do to a Lithium battery (and several other chemistries) is to fully discharge it.My PowerAdd Pilot Pro 2 was fully discharged when it arrived. I hooked up the charger and was stunned to see it flashing 0%.That automatically knocks off several charge/discharge cycles from the total life of the battery pack, before it will no longer accept a charge. Not cool. When set aside for longterm storage, a Lithium battery should be be charged to somewhere between 50% and 60%. A self-discharge rate of about 1% per month is to be expected, but if this battery pack had been prepped correctly at the factory, it would take several years to self-discharge down to 0%.It's possible that the state of charge is ridiculously innaccurate, of course, but if that's the case, then I'm still not pleased with seeing 0% when first connecting it to the charger. It moved to 1%, then 2% etc. very slowly, so it's not as if it jumped from 0% to some much higher figure.Other than that HUGE disappointment, I am pleased with its design and how it functions. I'm just concerned that I will have to replace it much sooner than the typical 500 charge cycles I might expect had it not suffered such a deep dicharge to 0%, prior to arrival.UPDATE 10/30/2020: The true capacity of the Poweradd Pilot Pro2 that I received, as measured after deep cycling the brand new unit three times, outputting 12 Volts with a 2 Amp load, is only 6,380 mAh, which is just 27.7% of the advertised 23,000 mAh capacity. To perform the discharge tests and measurements, I used the following product, sold here on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084GP95QFThe two pictures I've included for this review, show the results measured after discharging from 100% down to 0%, for the third time. In each test, I had the Poweradd set for 12V output, and the testing device adjusted for a constant 2-Amp load. The figure highlighted in red, should read 23.0 Ah, not 6.38 Ah (23,000 mAh, not 6,380 mAh).The product appears to be working fine otherwise, but frankly, in hindsight, I suspect by its light weight alone, none of these Poweradd Pilot Pro2 batteries are likely to have an actual capacity of 23,000 mAh.I'm reducing my star rating from 3 stars to 1 star. If Poweradd offers to send me a replacement, they had better test it first, to ensure that it has a capacity of 23,000 mAh - matching the item description and the specifications printed on the retail box, because I will certainly be testing it myself and I will report the measurements here.

A6300 and A6500 owners...THIS IS YOUR SOLUTION!
I bought this because I needed a powerbank to power my a6300 camera because the battery life is garbage and it overheats easily while shooting 4K. (Grill your customer service representative before buying a camera because they literally just want you to buy and leave) I hooked this thing up to my camera and BAAAAAMMMM!...I can shoot 4K for several hours now. It's overkill for what I need but I'd rather have it and not need it than vice versa. I'm still trying to figure out how to place it on my person while I'm shooting videos and photos since it's so bulky but I'll find a way. I'll check back in to let you all know specifics on how long I can record and shoot photos for with all the settings. A little of a hefty price tag but not a bad investment at all. Another side note...the USB to micro USB cable is extremely short so you'll definitely need a longer one but they're pretty cheap. Wish I could give it 6 stars out of 5.

Great while it lasts. Customer service will help.
The bank is fantastic. It's huge in terms of storage capacity, and provides a variable voltage source as well! I wanted to use it for a raspberry pi-based boombox, and the 19v output was perfect to power the amplifier. Unfortunately last night the 5v ports just stopped working. Refuses to provide an output to anything connected. Multimeter shows no power. When the charging adapter is inserted to charge the bank, there is about 100mV of leakage that's measured, but 0v otherwise. This is a shame because it was a great battery while it lasted - about 5 months.Update (3/31) - I emailed poweradd. They had me ship them the defective battery and sent me a replacement. Not ideal that I had to shell out $10 for postage, but customer service came through.

Great product and capability, but...
Needed a battery to run my CPAP while camping and this one came highly rated - should run for 14+ hours. Read reviews here and saw one that arrived DOA (zero charge), but decided to order. Mine also came completely discharged - flashing 0%. Charged overnight and tested - got 5.5 hours of use. Recharged and tested again three more times - every time it only provided 5.5 to 6 hours of power before being almost completely empty. Looks like mine was down to 10000mAh before I got it and charged it up. Unfortunately, running a Li-Ion battery dead and leaving it that way causes it to chemically fail and lose capacity quickly, which I'm pretty sure is what happened to mine.Amazon refunded and I ordered a different brand, which arrived partially charged and is working perfectly. Hopefully PowerAdd can fix their quality issues on these models - if so, it's a great battery and works well. The included tips fit everything I might use, if only it had the capacity left to do what I need.UPDATE 5/31/2021: PowerAdd reached out to me about this and replaced it. The new unit arrived with about 90% charge and seems to work better. Updated the rating - while the initial purchase was defective, the customer service after the sale made a big difference to me.

unit works well, in spite of poorly writen instructions and confusing adapters.
I purchased the Poweradd Pilot Pro2 23000mAh Power Bank to use on the plane for long flights. The unit is a tad heavy, but works very well. During a several hour flight, it's power cell meter barely dropped and operated my laptop as if it were plugged into a wall outlet. - I would have given it 5 stars, if it were not for the initial set up of the unit to charge it. The cords and instructions are not user friendly or necessarily logical. At first, I was unable to figure out how to charge or interpret the screen and was nearly ready to return it, but later figured it out.
