Wow, just wow
I was not expecting this much from a device. Bought this with a raspberry pi and expected to de disappointed. With off-brand Chinese products like these, you don't know what you will get.I got this before I got my raspberry pi and so I decided to test for any dead pixels and plugged it into my linux laptop. Didn't even need any drivers, ran out of the box. There was an issue where if I had both my laptop screen and this touch screen running, the touches would register incorrectly, and Im assuming there is a setting to fix this, but I didnt go into it since I wasnt going to use 2 screens anyways. Switching the disply so it only showed on this touch screen fixed it. The image was crisp, touches rendered accurately, including multi-touch (tried with 4 fingers, but it go with more, I just didn't test it).I got my raspberry pi and a separate "low-profile" USB cable for the data, turns out the "low profile" cable still sticks out 0.4in/10mm from the side of the display. Then (this is my favorite part), I saw that there are solder points for data and 5v so you dont even need a usb cable. This surprised me and decided to write this review. The USB cable that comes with the display is pretty good, it just works. It does jutt out about 1.25mm/30mm from the edge of the board. It works for testing the unit but isnt very aesthetically pleasing for a sisplay. But Im not going to complain, for this price point and what youre getting, it was definitely worth the buy. There are two HDMI connectors (one 180 degrees for the rpi 3 and the HDMI to HDMI mini converter for the rpi 4). You need to connect them both if you have the rpi 4. Since the HDMI converter is a cable (cable itself is about 3.5in/95mm long, including both connector ends its 6.8/175mm), you may have some difficulty fitting the rpi 4 behind the screen. Since I only am using this on a rpi 3, your may have to read other reviews for more details.Overall, I am a happy customer and may buy more in the future.

Adequate - good value for small touch screen
Easy hook up, some extra connectors, and low fuss connection to a PI (using a pi 4 here) power can come from PI too..Careful of the plastic stand parts - very fragile at bend points (plastic, broke one - super glue to the rescue)Text quality decent - and it does some big screen sizes but for actually reading you won’t set higher than 800x600.It’s a nice size and responsive. Makes a nice touch interface for a internet radio / media player.

Awesome little screen!
The media could not be loaded. This is a cheap little accessory that has worked flawlessly for me. The quality and the viewing angels are as expected and definitely not as bad as some reviewers complained about. For the price and for what I needed it for it couldn’t be beat!

Custom PC Sensor Panel
Bought this to use as a dedicated sensor panel for my gaming PC. It works well enough, but there are some annoying issues.Pros:- Full 1080p- Frame included- HDMI Support- USB PoweredCons:- The display never turns off unless you unplug USB power, there is no power button- The display never goes to sleep, so if it's not actively receiving a video signal, it just says "No Signal" forever instead of eventually going to sleep- This might be specific just to me and my computer, but if the display loses power, it won't automatically pick the HDMI signal back up. You have to re-plug the HDMI in order for it to pick the video signal back up. So basically the display always has to be on unless you want to constantly be unplugging and replugging things.- Due to the above issues, if you had this mounted INSIDE your PC case, it would probably be a nightmare to work with. Thankfully mine is external.- The included frame and screws do not tighten all the way, so there's no way to keep the legs tight, they just stay loose and floppy so you can't really stand the display on it's feet, you just have to turn the feet off to the side.Overall it's not a BAD display by any means, but if you're looking for a PC sensor panel, there may be better choices out there.

Ya know that exact mini screen you're picturing in your head? This is it.
My god the trial and error of finding a reliable 5 inch screen can be both tiring and expensive. But overall everything I've thrown at this screen has not even slowed it down. Looks great, high detail, and very easy to work with hardware.

Great quality and picture easy to use
Very awesome, been using it as a 3rd monitor to put my security cameras on. I will be buying more to use as smart monitors around the house since they are touch screen.

No Signal and Poor Support
I intended to use this in my new PC build to monitor the system temps, but I cannot get a signal. I reached out to UCTRONICS tech support and after two weeks of emailing back and forth, telling me to try unplugging it and plug it back in or asking one question at a time, they finally agreed to have sales reach out to me for a replacement. That was several days ago and I haven't heard back.

Works but setup involved work
The display works and is inexpensive. The touch response is good. It isn't as easy to configure and physically install as some.If you want to mount the Pi on the back of the display you have to use round standoffs in the mounting holes, which are not threaded. The HDMI to HDMI plug included makes it impossible to use standoffs on the side of the board where the HDMI jack is because the round ones aren't long enough to allow the Pi to clear the display's HDMI jack. There may be a better solution but not with the hardware that comes with the display.I bought this to use with piCorePlayer as a touchscreen music player. Due to piCorePlayer's idiosyncratic directory structure the configuration script provided on the manufacturer's web site won't work without modification. I used the script to edit config.txt by hand. Jivelite, the Raspberry Pi addon for using a local display with piCorePlayer requires a monitor calibration routine that runs from the command line only. I realize configuring this display with other Pi OS distributions isn't as complicated although almost all will require modifying config.txt.

Great for Raspberry Pi and Victron Venus
I bought this to use with my Raspberry Pi 4 running Victron Venus OS. Works great! There are 3 ports on the display, HDMI, USB touch, and power. I only needed USB touch and HDMI. I guess the port for "power" was not needed since USB touch also powers the display.
