Battlestar Galactica the Board Game Pegasus Expansion

So. BSG The Board Game is easily one of the best hidden agent/enemy mechanic based games around. Good mechanic, with added BSG theme = Reasonably fun game.So, what does Pegasus do? Remove one of the reasons you bought this game in the first place.I mean, yeah, the BSG theme add ones are pretty sweet; Added Cylon characters, more ships, Pegasus. All good from a visual and thematical point of view.The messing around with the Game mechanic? Not so good.First off; Cylon characters. These are players that everyone knows are Cylons. I get the diea; to mimic the co-operation between humans and cylons in BSG. It kinda doesn't really work...It detracts everyones attention from the core mechanic; the hidden agent.Second; New Caprica. As if the game wasn't hard enough to win for the Humans. I understand the need to make semi-co-operative games challenging (Most like Arkham horror and Pandemic are simply too easy), but jeeeeez.Third; Killing player characters. At first I was like YEAHHH. But in practice? It is badly done. Yes, you kill off a character, but the player then draws a new one, with additional loyalty cards. Which kind of makes it redundant.All in all, I think you're better off with sticking to the core set. I will admit that I haven't played Pegasus with Daybreak or Exodus yet. I don't know how/if they work together...so it could be worth it?I can't see how, and after this, don't want to spend my money to find out....

The game was brand new, in excellent condition and well packaged. It was also delivered very quickly. A hassle-free purchase. This product is ideal for people who like strategy and role-playing board games, although bear in mind this is an expansion and you'd need to have the original game to be able to use it. However, the expansion adds new characters to the existing game and a whole new dimension to it.

I brought this game for my husbands birthday. I'm pleased to say he loves it . It's a great game to have while friends are over, I hear friendly banter while their all playing the game and for days after. In fact his been asked several times to have a Galactica games day as they enjoy it so much (and I enjoy the TV to myself.)

Comes with the vital basestar models. Although these probably should have been in the original it's worth it.The expansion is actually 2 mini expansions - Pegasus and New Caprica. You can play with either or both or just some of the new characters.

If you have Battlestar Galactica you need to get this expansion for it by adding a new dynamic to the game.

An excellent expansion for the base game. The added characters are great and each new part of the rules can be added separately for a great variety of experiences. The new caprica phase is not as good as the main game however but does add replay value if you get tired of the original.

This is an amazing expansion to the game and you get loads for your money, new characters, the Pegasus ship, New Caprica and new Cylon locations. It adds loads to the core game without adding too much time on.
