Global Vision Apex Bifocal Safety Glasses

I live in the southwest where sunglasses aren't an option they're a necessity. I also spend a lot of time at shooting competitions and these are great for several reasons. First, they're safety rated for impacts so they're good for wearing when I'm at the range. Second, their bifocals so I can check and score targets without having to change glasses. Third, the frames are flat so they don't break the seal on my hearing protection ear muffs. Fourth, they're inexpensive enough that when (not if) they get scratched you won't fret much about buying a new pair. They're also dark enough to be comfortable at noon but not so dark that you can't see when the sun is on the horizon. The bifocal also makes it easier to read gauges when I'm driving.

These are pretty good glasses. I use +1.5, I can ride my dual-sport bike in the wilderness, but still view and operate my GPS without having to stop the bike and put on reading glasses to verify I am on track. Especially important when you are leading a group. I use a clear pair for night riding. I have only had to replace these because of frames breaking. I usually get about a year out of them. There is some extra unusual stress on the frames as you put them on while wearing a full-face helmet which takes its toll. That said, I chose these because they are way safer than a metal frame when you fall. They are also my go to glasses on the Jet Ski for the same reason. At their price point I am not crushed when they go to the bottom of the lake as I would be with Oakley's. They are not polarized so I am not fighting with them trying to read personal electronics. The only improvement I would like, is a little stronger frame but I keep buying them because the other aspects of the glasses are just what I need.

These look good, fit good, no distortion, bifocal works well. Problem is I wore them one day driving about 5 hours, that afternoon on the beach, next morning on a bike ride. Removed them from my face and the frame broke in half. I did not drop them, sit on them, twist or torque them... just wore them. I know they are cheap and you get what you pay for but expected more than a day of wear. Spend a little more and get something that will hold up better.

Needed sunglasses that would work with my LS2 Valiant II helmet and have a diopter of +1.5 for reading gages and such along with good blocking of sunlight around my eyes. These glasses are excellent at this and have a good fit. Easy to slide into and out of the helmet with it on, and stays in place. I have bought both the clear and the dark versions so I am good to go both day and night.

I bought these, and two other brands from Amazon. I wanted them for driving and to be able to see the dash cluster and GPS. These were the worse of the three. It does not seem the bifocal is the proper strength and they just feel a bit flimsy.

These are ok. The product is ok, I just didn't care for them. They had a large magnification area in them and it made me feel a little dizzy when I tried to walk around in them. I bought the Berkley Fishing glasses instead. They are about twice the price, but I like them better.

Super great bifocal glasses. I use them while riding off-road dual purpose motorcycle. I can now see my GPS clearly! Comfortable under the full face helmet, even on long rides.

Decent glasses. The nose pads could be on a bit more of an angle otherwise good. I would buy them again.

In general, I am happy for the purchase. I would like to find out if Global Vision Apex Bifocal offers the foam gasket version .
