Joie Avocado Saver – Silicone Avocado Storage Pod with Stretch-to-Fit Cover, Reusable & BPA-Free, Green

I’m so happy with this purchase. I always used fine parts of avocados left in the fridge that had gone brown so I’m really happy with this product. I’m always able to fit the half inside of the case easily, not matter the size. Easy to clean and looks nice too.

I like the idea and it looks like good quality. Although I have not used yet.

Does exactly what it says it would. Keeps my half an avocado fresh. Just a little difficult to open and close the lid but manageable.

This is my second avocado pod by Joie. The silicone of the first one broke, likely due to going into the dishwasher too often. The pod saves a lot of avocados, lemons, onions and others. The size is very comfortable for them all to "live" in. The food doesn't go bad when in the pod, and preserves its shape, state and colour. It doesn't form smells and it opens and closes easily. I know Joie also offer separate lemon and onion pods, and I own one of each, but I find this one the most versatile due to size.

Whenever I have an avocado I approximately use about a half this handy gadget is extremely easy to open and is easy to clean. It's made of a good quality plastic and a film type silicone it looks smart and the size of It will hold extremely large avocado. it dose the job it needs to do.

I've slid and clicked the two pieces together quite easily, it only holds half a small-medium sized avocado without the pit. I've used this product twice now and both times I've come back the next day and it's been brown! I had better luck with cling film 🙄 not worth it

I expected the half of avocado will keep its colour but went blown actually. But it's good to store in my fridge in this product. No regrets.

Keeps things fresh, but the two halves are a bit fiddely to connect together as they have to slide n lock into place.

Das Teil ist super nützlich. Es macht genau was es soll - frisch halten. Man kann sogar eine ganze Avocado hinein geben, das Material dehnt sich wunderbar. Der Verschluss ist anfangs etwas komisch, man muss den oberen Deckel aufschieben, aber wenn man die Umverpackung ansieht versteht man es sofort. Als generellen Tipp: immer den Kern in der Hälfte mit Kern drin lassen, dann wird diese Hälfte viel weniger braun. Ich habe bisher meine Avocado immer wieder aufeinander gelegt und so in den Kühlschrank gegeben. Das geht so lange gut bis eine Hälfte davon komplett aufgegessen ist, danach benötigte ich immer eine Frischhaltefolie für die restliche Hälfte. Das fällt jetzt weg und das finde ich super. Wenn auch schon die Avocado an sich schon nicht sehr gut für die Umwelt ist (viel Wasserverbrauch im Anbau, weiter Transportweg etc.), so verschwende ich jetzt wenigstens nicht auch noch jedes mal ein Stückchen Plastikfolie, welches später in den Müll wandert. Ich finde es empfehlenswert, muss allerdings dazu sagen, dass mich braune Stellen in der Avocado nicht stören, das esse ich mit. Einzelne braune Stellen muss man auch mit dieser Frischhaltebox denk ich in Kauf nehmen.
