Sigg ABT Base Only Active Bottle Top

My previous top was about 8 years old and cracked when I inadvertently dropped it onto concrete. Rather than buy a new bottle, I simply bought the replacement top - bargain! Fits perfectly and my bottle no longer leaks. I simply swapped the flip top cover from my old top - easy to do. I love SIGG bottles, they're robust, easy to clean and keep drinks reasonably cool. There's also no horrible "bottle taste". Well worth the investment.

Great new type of lid for the sigg bottle. Both my son and husband love it. Saves any leaks. Great product.

I prefer this sport top over the Sigg 3-Stage Sport Bottle Top for its durability. Yes, there is a slight learning curve for this item, but after you get the hang of it you can use it without thinking (my girlfriend refers to it as the "Gerbil Top," for the action needed to drink from it.)I also use mine without the Sigg Sport Top Mud Cap for Sigg Water Bottles and used the hinge joint to add a keyring with carabiner to clip to a pack or hold my keys while running. I've bounced by Sigg with this top multiple times (only breaking the mud top,) whereas the 3-Stage top lasted only one impact. I believer that this top will outlast by Sigg bottles, if I keep bouncing by gear and self off of rocks.I'm rough on my gear, but if it lasts I keep using it. It took Me a while to figure that this went on the first larger sized screw on lid. The fact that they don't sell the two tops as replacement parts tells me that other people have broken the smaller sip top as well...which means it perhaps needs a redesign. My daughter likes it, but with my extensive denial work I won't use it. Hope this lasts, my daughter likes it.

I've been a fan of these for a couple of years. What I love about this is it seems to keep saliva out of the bottle (no backwash). The result is that I can use the bottle for days and often weeks at a time without having to clean it, and there is no odor. You do have to push it with your mouth or your fingers, but once I got used to that, it's a none issue. It won't spill by accident. And you don't have to bother unscrewing the top.

Leaving aside the issue of Sigg's multi-year deception of its customers about using BPA in its bottle lining, the design of the sport cap is atrocious. The only indication one has that the nipple is either open or closed is by close inspection with good backlighting to see if the nipple is above the cap or flush with it. The twist mechanism to open and close the nipple easily twists itself when put in a bag with lots of other items pressing on it, especially if the bottle is laid horizontally. I was quite happy to switch to Klean Kanteen and their sport top, even though I have to puff out my cheeks like a chipmunk to avoid the "bird whistle" effect. At least this sport top stays closed.

Had this top for a year. This is the second one of this type I've owned and it just doesn't seem to be able to stand up to the every day usage. I love the concept, but Sigg is going to have to come up w/ something more durable.

No one else makes a top that you can drink laying down!

This is a great lid for someone that needs to drink without having to deal with a screw in lid. It takes a little time to figure it out and can be tricky to use at first. Once you get the hang of it you'll be fine.

I was so happy to find a replacement cap for my Sigg. I LOVE the design of this cap. There is nothing easier to use that is spill proof.

Great lid... No leaks and regularly drink with the bottle upside down. Quality!

Well made, just needs to allow a little more flow through it to be even better! I'd definitely buy this product again.

This top locks and is easy to use when working out. I take the bubble top off unless I am using it in the car or for the day of activities.
