I bought this for a lift for my queen size bed ,and was quite surprised on how sturdy it was. The bearing of it is high quality and easy to use. The assemble is quite simple and direct. I'd highly suggest this product.

Bought this for a 75' dog run. All the reviews were right, the pulleys that come with "Holds dogs up to 100lbs" come with cheap plastic wheeled crapola. So I had to buy one of those chain link threaded link things to hook between this and the lead, big deal. This thing is sweet! Quiet, smooth and strong brass pulley. My only fear was that "Ollie" would yank the front off the 20' wide shed front we solidly mounted it to, but he's soooo happy to be out of prison (his kennel) he doesn't even try to get away.

Installing bird feeder trolley about 60' from deck to tree. Used small rope pulleys and they did not roll under the stress of the 3/16th cable and 6 lbs of feeders. These were much more expensive, and big for 1/4" cable. Once installed, they work very well. They hold up under bad weather, and wind stress.Cable trolley is twisting as I pull the cable through. Something I had not considered. The rope pulleys had swivels and twisted out easily. These do not. Tried adding something inline. Still searching for a solution.

I once had a frozen shoulder, so my doctor sent me to one of those medical exercise centers. There, they had me pulling on rubber tubing and weights on a pulley.The cost was outrageous and after I learned the routines, I decided that hey I could device something at home that works just as well and won't cost me $45.00 a visit.First I went to Ace Hardware for the rubber tubing ... OUCH, it was expensive! $2.00 a foot, but still cheaper than the center.Then I went to Home Depot for a good pulley. However all they had were these cheapos which squeaked a lot and full of grease to keep them lubricated. The problem is the grease turned black and it got all over the rope I was using and onto my hands and ..oops my shirt. Aaaagh!A couple of bodylastics handles and I was good to go.The squeaking woke up my neighbor a couple of times since I set these up in my back porch, and I do all my bike riding (5 miles each day) and my exercises very early in the morning. About 7:30 a.m.So, I decided to replace the cheapo with this pulley and the thing is very quiet and works smoothly. I may be purchasing a couple more just for the heck of it ... LOL! Who knows, I may find other uses for it.

I don't like to criticize products when their design is obvious and you make the purchase. I will say, however, that the single point to secure the unit, being in the center, makes this a challenge to use in some circumstances. I'd rather have more options when it comes to these units. Instead, there is a bit of instability laterally that I do wish that we could do without. That said... well made and functions as advertised.

Heavy duty, but wheel to big for the cable why suggest to buy together ? Then the attachment is a different set up for the cable tie that attaches to product, then not send hardware with it had to buy another attachment to get it to work together. You think they would realize that when suggesting products that go together just saying hope this helps people when buying this! A little overkill it says 450lbs capacity most dogs don't weigh that much, none I've ever seen anyways lol. Product is good just not for the purpose of a dog but better than the plastic wheel that the dog runner came with which is why they suggested to buy this product in the first place with.

I bought this pulley to use with a solar shower so that the bag of water could be pulled up by young and old and at a height comfortable for all to use. The solar bag is pretty heavy when full of water and the pulley works great although my overall design needs some help. No regrets with this pulley.

I use this for my dog trolley I have a very hyperactive dog and the plastic pulleys that came with the cable did not last even a week so I use this one instead

Good plating finish an well made.

Overall it's a decent pulley and does what it's supposed to. I picked it up for a DIY home gym pulley system. The pulley is better than the previous one I picked up from Home Depot, but it' still a bit rougher on the way down than others I've used at gyms. I would not order it again and would try something else, for this use. Would be just fine for a general purpose pulley.
