CedarAmerica Hang Ups, Set of 8

These cedar planks work very well. The scent was nice & a decent strength. However, I was desperate, so as an added precaution, I applied extra cedar oil on the surface of the planks that I had also bought just in case.I bought these cedar planks because I had holes in my cashmere sweaters (presumably because of baby moths, which like to hide). They feed on natural materials especially cashmere & silk (they have good taste, apparently). I took the sweaters to the dry cleaners to get them repaired, but they couldn't do it. Therefore, I had to throw out my old cashmere sweaters!! I learned my (expensive) lesson & decided to be more proactive in the future....I bought new cashmere sweaters on sale (since I'm always cold), & added the cedar planks to my drawer space. Cedar is one of the most natural, nontoxic, ways to deters moths based on my Internet research).Since I've used these planks with the added oil, I haven't had any more problems. The added cedar oil might've helped, also (I figure it's worth it to invest in lots of cedar planks and oil now since it'll protect my cashmere for years to come).

I really wanted lavender scented cedar blocks but they got such bad reviews that I just bought the regular cedar hang ups. These are great! My closet is kind of small and I didn't really need all of them, but I've put them to use. They smell good but not too strong. I was worried all my clothes would smell like cedar, but they don't. I also sprinkled a little lavender oil on the hang ups and they smell lovely! As far as I can tell I don't have any moths and any mothball scent is gone.

Purchased these for my closet. Just as described, they absorb moisture and smell like cedar. These replaced some old cedar hangers I had and are nice a big. I have about 4 of them in my closet about every 4 or 5 hangers. I found out after I purchased these that my old ones could have been sanded down a little and reused so I am guessing once these loose there fresh smell I will just sand them down a bit and have "like new" cedar hangers again.

You can't really smell them in the closet...I put all of them in one medium size walk in closet and it doesn't smell like cedar at all. I have no idea if they are actually helping to control any odor or moisture as my husband stopped putting his dirty work clothes in the hamper in the closet, and there wasn't a moisture problem...so I will give them a halfway grade

Good odor, works great. After traversing sevearl products on Amazon, I went with these since they didn't have reviews of "very low odor" etc.Doesn't have a gloss finish like other brands, which reduces the odor, and doesn't let you sand them as good for more release of the scent.

The package just arrived! I have placed them strategically in wife's walk in closet. Compared to previous products, My initial impression is that the new Plank's cedar aroma are muted. Tomorrow, I am going to lightly sand them and see if the fragrance is enhanced.

Did not maintain cedar smell very long. I even used sandpaper to try to bring back cedar smell

I was able to purchase these 8 cedar hang ups, (the same dimensions and size) for a price slightly higher than I had paid for 2 in a discount retail or home improvement store. They do work and will keep moth pests away from your closet and expensive clothes. Moths seem to like my suits a few holes at a time, then they develop a taste for a different color garment. (Maybe garment flavors varies according to color)???
