Does the job!
This is a great little gizmo that allowed me and the lad to indulge a little Wii-based nostalgia on our new tellybox. It's simple to plug in - leads from the Wii in one end, bang the other end into the hdmi socket on your telly and Bob's your uncle!Bear in mind (as other people have said) it only sends the video feed. It doesn't upgrade it to today's standard.I particularly bought this from this seller because, although a quid dearer, it claimed to arrive within a few days - which it did! - unlike the cheaper ones shipping from China.

Great way too play Wii on modern TV’s
Easy to set up and made all aspects of the Wii’s image quality better. One issue was with NES games on the Wii virtual console. The TV would suggest no signal with these games but this was the only issue.Great product otherwise.

Great HDMI converter
A really simple addition for your Wii, but I’m impressed for the money. It’s easy to switch out the scart cable and replace it with this (you’ll also need a spare HDMI cable). My scart cable may not have been the best to start with, but the picture is far better than before, even on home brew emulated games. There is mention of the port for sound in the product description, but a HDMI cable is all you need to connect to your TV.

IT works!!
I bought a Sony Bravia OLED television last week but could not get my Wii to work on it. I bought a lead to connect the three wires from the Wii to a USB plug but that did not work. Eventually I googles extensively and found two or three people with the same problem. One person had replied and suggested the plug above (a Zeato Wii to HDMI converter) so I bought one, not expecting it to work. It was so easy to install - just plug it in and connect with an HDMI lead. It worked first time and I am delighted with it. No lack in picture or sound quality. I heartily recommend this genius plug which is dedicated to the Wii - worth every penny of the £7.49.Michael

I tried two converters before this; one didn't work at all and the other was terrible. Searched around online and saw this in an article called The 10 Best Accessories for the Wii so I bought it. They were right. Although the picture quality isn't perfect it's pretty darn good. More importantly, compared to the previous items, it's quick and easy to set up. It plugs straight into the back of the console and an HDMI out into the TV. No additional power supply required, which is another bonus. Connected to my new Sony Bravia and it worked with no fuss. Definitely recommend this if you need to connect your Wii to your new TV.

Worked at 480P - For 6 months
Probably all of the available versions of this are the same, but I chose this one because it seemed to be the lowest price one that suggested it didn't do upscaling. You can safely ignore the Full HD 1080P logo, it's talking nonsense. This device passes the signal at the same output mode as the Wii. 480P is the best display mode for the Wii, and your TV will have no problem upscaling to its native resolution for you.I'm using this dongle to pass the HDMI signal through my Pioneer AV receiver, which doesn't support 480P through the component input despite its ludicrous price. This device can do it just fine at just £7, so that's something to ponder over. The AV receiver accepts the 480P HDMI signal, and passes it through to the TV no problem. The quality is good, similar to that of my component cables direct to the TV - so I think it's using the component output of the Wii, rather than the composite. Not sure yet how reliable it will be, but I haven't seen any problems with it yet.*** UPDATE ***It lasted 6 months, but now can't produce a stable image at 480p. Either a black screen, or completely un-synched output. It still works at 576i and 480i, but the image quality of those modes is much worse.I bought an identical looking replacement from the cheapest supplier on Amazon, and it works just like this one did originally. No upscaling, and a clear 480p image. Hopefully that one will last a bit longer.

It really works!
To my surprise it really works. We dug out the old Wii but new tv didn’t have the AV entry but only HDMI but this sorted our problem. Is sturdy and fits, works well, very easy to set up.

Easy as Pie to Setup
Super easy to set up and I noticed that while the picture quality was clearly not fully 1920 resolution, it was MUCH better on my HD television that the NTSC signal without it. You could see the difference. The kids even said "what did you do to the Wii on the TV? The picture quality looks so much better!" Mission accomplished.
