I've used these for a couple of years now and they work great. They are pretty simple to install although you have to be very careful when you install them in the canister because the hole in the filter that fits over the nipple in the bottom of the housing can become misaligned if it is not seated properly when you install it. Just be careful and you'll be fine.

Fantastic bargain at less than $5 each including shipping. Was paying more than $20 each at home improvement stores. Also, installed first filter more than 2 months ago and still have great water pressure. Filters purchased previously lasted only a month before pressure started dropping. Though it was probably because they were a higher level of filtration, which I did not need. Filter is primarily for the protection of my water softener which appears to be functioning fine. The filter is 4 1/2" x 10" with 1 1/8" hole but fit my casing with slightly larger end inserts because it has no rubber end washers.

Deffinatley beats the monthly purchase from wallmart for a lower quality filter that last 5 months longer!

These filters are exactly like all the other 5 micron 10 x 4.5 inch filters advertised for much higher prices.
