Great Product, Great Support
After buying a new OLED smart TV I was looking for a pair of good all round headphones, that I could use for everything including noise cancelling, smart phone, watching TV and HD audio. After some research I got it down to two sets, Sony XM4 or XM5 or Bose QC35's. Researching these two sets further I noticed that some people were complaining that they didn't work correctly with their smart TV, with lip sync and various other issues.Long story short, I discovered that neither the Sony or the Bose supported aptx low latency or aptx HD with aptx LL being essential for use with a smart TV, (which also must support aptx LL).After much looking I found and ordered these Avantree Podio's and not only did they seem to be exactly what I was looking for they were about a third of the price of the Sony and Bose. I have had the Avantree's for a little while now and I am very happy with them, they work flawlessly with my TV and everything else, and whilst I am no audiophile when listening to music I find the sound is brilliant. If I was pushed to find a negative I would have to say the noise cancelling is not industry leading, but it works well and you won't find better in this price bracket. I would definitely recommend these headphones. In addition to the above I had to contact Avantree customer support for advice on two occasions and I must say I have never dealt with better customer support, very quick, very polite and very helpful.

Better than I thought.
Suffering from tinnitus, I needed some headphones for the tv which delivered dialogue clearly. I have tried a few cheaper pairs and most of them (including this brands entry level) were like listening to the announcements at a train station. These however are a vast improvement. I have read the hifi purists speaking of frequency levels and midrange clarity and so forth, and that is fine, I don't think these are pretending to be studio mix desk quality but they have made my tv viewing infinitely better. I can now hear the speech clearly. Win, win for me.

Very good headset for price
Nice and comfortable headset, not too heavy, and I had no problem with keeping it on for up to six hours at a stretch. I wear spectacles and the headset fits over the ears without any pressure.I am using the headset for online discussions, teaching, and patient consultations; and have had no issues with communication. The in-built microphone appears excellent, since I have never used the boom microphone - with no issues reported from the listeners regarding clarity (though I do have the advantage of a quiet environment). No problems with Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business. It works fine with the laptop provided by my employer; though I do not know if this is applicable to all NHS Trusts. it might be best to check with relevant IT departments.Music playback on social media or streaming platforms is also fine and immersive, though others might be better placed to comment on this since I am using the headset for work 95% of the time. The noise cancelling functioning is also impressive. However, I experience pretty loud echo of my voice with the ANC function off. This is understandable, since the earpieces fit snugly around the ears. This echoing disappears with the ANC turned on, but it results in my voice sounding very low and distant - the voice of the person I might be talking to appears louder and clearer than mine own. This was weird, though I am getting accustomed to it now.But at this time I am using a different (wired) on-ear headset any presentations or meetings where I might be required to talk at length for more than ten to fifteen minutes at a stretch.

Excellent for use with the TV
I needed a new pair of headphones to replace some old Amazon ones that they don’t sell any more. When looking at Bluetooth headphones to use with my TV, I went on a long journey figuring out there were multiple and confusing acronyms/initials such as aptx and variations. I don’t know why they need to make this so complicated. In the end, I discovered that I needed both a Bluetooth transmitter and headphones that supported aptxLL (low latency). A £25 mpow transmitter is one half of the solution, but it turned out there are very few “low latency” aptxLL headphones. Many have aptx, but very few have the LL which is needed to keep audio in sync with the video. The number of options shrank and the prices increased. I really didn’t want to spend so much on headphones but eventually decided on these Avantree Aria Podio.Fortunately, it turned out that these headphones ticked all the boxes. The audio is (almost always) in sync with the video, the active noise cancellation works very well (not 100%, but much better than my previous headphones that didn’t have any form of noise cancellation). And they’re pretty comfortable. I can easily wear them all evening without them annoying me.The charging stand is very convenient. It took a couple of goes to line up the headphones to the connections on the stand but, after the first couple of days, it settled down and now lines up just fine.In short, I give these an “almost perfect” score. They’re a little on the expensive side, but I would buy them again if I needed another pair in the future.I would add that I only use these for listening to the TV and can’t account for audio fidelity if you’re looking for headphones for an audiophile.

Awkward to use
I've used these for over 1 year now. I've found them to constantly disconnect from my devices and require re-pairing, they keep getting stuck and then I have to wait for their battery to drain before I can reuse them again. The band itself is fairly weak and has cracked, which means I've needed to use tape to stop plastic digging into my head during use. These issues, for me, have completely detracted from the use of these headphonesBattery life isn't bad and sound quality isn't bad either.I wish I had spent a bit more to get some I could really rely on.
