SolTrek Flip Lock and Anti Shock Summit Trekking Pole Set | for Walking and Hiking

amazon always run out of this trekking pole so i waited and finally it was available again so i went ahaed ordered it and got it sooner than expected which was pretty cool, prepping this pole for a hiking trip and testing the height adjustment but when i push down on the lever lock the clamp just snap and broke , it wasnt even that tight ,bummer i thought i can get an inexpensive pole with lever lock, shock absorption, cork handle combined with burnt wood design and a nice color on the shaft itself with a petroglyphs logo of the sun, im just an average weekend hiker but i guess i might haved to look into a more professional brand that i can use confidently out there and will last for years,hope this gets posted coz other people might have more luck than me with this pole

These SolTreks are fine to use as rigid poles. One of the pair adjusted for anti-shock, one did not adjust (manufacturer's quality control missed this). Sent them back & ordered a more expensive, non-adjustable, anti-shock brand that was highly rated in Amazon reviews.It's a shame: they are otherwise high quality, light & strong aluminum, with very comfortable cork handles, wide & sturdy wrist straps.And competitively priced ... but for one to fail to adjust right out of the box is unacceptable.

These SolTrek Summit poles are all you need in a hiking pole for a very reasonable price. Like others said, they have both flip lock and anti-shock features. Mine work fine. Poles with both those features and cork handles are hard to find and far more expensive than the SolTrek poles. These poles are both light and sturdy. On top of all that, the cork handles are great in all seasons The poles come with rubber tips and snow baskets.

As said in earlier reviews, the telescopic clips are loose and don't tighten well!!!I expected a better product for the money compared to the Hikker HP-5 poles.I actually returned to the Hikker Hiking Pole at less than half the price!!!This is a overprices and inferior product but prettier.

I have been using these for about 6 months or so and have not had any issues. I don't use the anti-shock but it does work. I like that these have both twist lock and flip lock. I broke both of the baskets that came with them recently and the company sent me two replacements free of charge.

The tension clip screws will come loose and fall out on long hikes.One of my tension clips cracked through the collar and I had a basket fall off also.Not the quality I was expecting. No replacement parts!

Husband bought these for me for Christmas - but miss. I am not the type of person to use these so there were returned.
