Fits ok. Works adequately. Good idea , save’s getting lens dirty. Hard to open tho. Lot of effort needed!!

Protects the lens well
This is an excellent accessory that can be left on the camera at nearly all times. The TG-x cameras are incredibly resistant to rough treatment but if like me you carry the camera in the pocket of an outdoor jacket the front lens protecting glass can get very fine scratches over time. I had been in the habit of carrying my TG-5 without any further lens protection and the once-sharp pictures have become soft because of many fine scratches on the lens protecting glass. I have replaced the TG-5 with a TG-7 and now keep this lens cap on the camera whenever I am not using the light guide accessory. I wish I had bought one of these much earlier.

Minor concern - but should do formyneeds
Fits well - I am a little concerned that when either fully closed or open there seems to be little resistance to prevent accidently opening from closed or closing from open But I bought as a temporary measure for extra protection as I bought the OM travel case for it

Seized up
Worked fine at first. Stiff, as commented by others, but would open and close with a bit of effort. However after a few outings it gave up and now is solidly open providing no protection at all. Fortunately it is easy to remove. The question now is whether to buy the expensive Olympus official cap. UPDATE- I have now bought the Olympus cap. Much easier to use and hopefully will last a lot longer. Expensive but the JJC cap is even more expensive seeing that it soon failed.
