3 Years and 50k Miles Later!
3 Years and 50k Miles Later! Cause lets be honest that is what you want to know. I purchased a set of 4 - 295/70R18 On March 1st 2018 and they were installed March 5th the same year. Pros - *Amazing off road tires, especially if you air them down. They clean out better then tires 2x their price. Mud, Snow, Sand they have held up amazingly. * Road noise very limited the first couple years I have had less aggressive tires make way more noise when going down the highway. * Wear and Tare they have held up great. 50k miles 3 years and still have a good amount of tread on them. They actually shocked me usually 2 years is about all I get out of a really aggressive MT tire. These blew buy this expectation laughing. I actually just ordered a new set cause these are in that butter zone where I can make some cash back on resell. * Mount and Balancing. They mounted and balanced pretty easily for an aggressive MT tire. The balance line on the tire was pretty true and the Tech did not have to muck with them to much. Unlike some other MT's I have had that the Tech almost quit on me trying to get them balanced. Cons - * Road Noise 2.5 years - when they cut through about half the tread that noise starts to shine through the stippling in the tire that helps reduce this noise is pretty much gone at about half tire life and well yeah they start to howl. Now into year 3 and yeah they are border line obnoxious. Some people don't care about this howl, I tend to only cause I haul a boat and put on a lot of highway miles. However 2.5 years before they started howling is a .5 year longer then I thought the tires would last in whole. * Packed Snow and Ice - I am in ND land of the frozen nothingness. While Mud, Fresh Snow, and Sand mean nothing to these tires the lack of surface area has them singing a different tune. Packed Snow and Ice is a bit of a challenge for these tires. If you live in the north it is something you should note. However you should also know that most MT tires that have super aggressive tread suffer from this as it is a lack of surface area issue. * Rocks - again this is a con for all aggressive tires but these seem to be especially good at picking up rocks and stones and holding on to them for dear life. All in all I love these tires and like I said just ordered a new set. If you like a good looking tire that will hold up on the road and not leave you stranded off road. These are amazing tires.

Love them so far. Hoping they last.
Just bought these, mounted them on some pro comp wheels, and so far they're great. Ive been playing around with tire pressure to get even wear because I want them to last as long as possible. Max rating is 35, but to get more even wear, I'm sitting at 28-30 PSI. A few things I've noticed that some people might be interested in before buying, the tread is softer than I expected but I have a lighter vehicle so I hope they still last, they make a little bit of noise on the road but its not bad at all, they're definitely not your average all-terrain tire, the spacing between the tread is closer to a mud terrain but the center tread pattern looks a little more normal, handling for pavement isn't as good as my old BFGs but thats not what I got them for, and I've already had plenty of compliments. I haven't done any serious off-roading with them yet, but I do plan to, and then I will update this review. I have driven them a little in the sand and on a few dirt roads, they seem to be extremely grippy. Update: The wheels that I put them on were 15x8, which caused the tires to bulge a little and could lead to pre-mature wear in the center of the tread. Luckily I spotted this early, ordered some 15x10s and threw those on (8.5-11 recommended). The tires look much better on those and are now touching evenly across the tread. I'm also able to air them appropriately to around 34 PSI. I did take them out on the trail also, and they are awesome! The trails were a mix of sand and mud, and these things were un-stoppable. I purposefully stopped half way up a sand dune to see if I'd get stuck, and they just pulled me right up no problem.

and they where pretty smooth. Offroad traction on trails has been great ...
Arrived quickly. Tried them out with NO balancing on them just out of curiosity, and they where pretty smooth. Offroad traction on trails has been great and these have taken the mildly modded Samurai to yet another level of improved capability. Previous tires were 10+ year old BFG AT with only 30% or so tread left and to be fair, I got them 2nd hand and didn't get to experience them new. So, probably any half way decent tire would have been noticeably better than old dried out tires, not matter how good they may have been when new. That being said, the Samurai nearly doubled it's abilities with it's 3" lift and move up to 31's... then adding a rear locker and proper diff gearing netted almost as big a gain again. Finally, adding these tires was not quite as big a jump as the other mods... but, again, a VERY noticeable gain in offroad traction and climbing ability. Long, 100% grade climbs that used to take effort and both hands and were a bit of a challenge, suddenly became casual, one hand on the wheel affairs. No chance to try them in in rain or snow yet.... but trail and rocky stuff has been great. Watch the "cooper puncture test" video online. As for noise.... my 4x4 is NOT my daily driver... so "tire noise" is more like TIRE MUSIC to me. But they are not particularly loud. Yes, you can hear them and they are more noise than your street car.... but, by FAR are NOT that noisy for mud tires. Prices on these fluctuate FAR more than BFG KM2 (my other choice).... but the BFG's would NEVER drop as low priced as these have from time to time.... When they dropped to only about $25 more than the cheapest tires out there, it was a no brainer! VERY pleased with them! [O.|||||.O]

Mud Approved, Snow Approved, Cinders Approved, Ice Okay
I've put these tires through a lot and broken my truck more than one time with these on. I've owned them a hair less than a year but I already know I'll be buying another set of these when the time comes. I've always been a huge fan of Cooper tires and seen their compounds last years without dry-rotting in the Arizona sun. These tires dig deep and they really aren't too loud on the highway. I live in an area that gets a decent amount of snow and ice. These tires are unbelievable in fresh snow but these are not ice tires. They do great for a mud-terrain but I wouldn't be trusting them to stop you on a dime if you are skating on a big sheet of ice. Look at an all-terrain if you are wanting something that can do better on ice. The trade-off is bad mud performance for better ice performance. What's more important to you? I can see just a little wear on the sharp edges on the lugs of the tires but the wear after about 5000 miles is flat and even (despite the wildly messed up alignment on my truck). I would recommend these tires to anyone doing medium-heavy duty off-road. I never recommend these types of tires for a pavement princess but they do look pretty great on any ride.

Great tires for my 1 ton
Strengths Exceptional Off-Road Capability Excellent traction in mud, dirt, sand, and loose surfaces thanks to the aggressive tread and self-cleaning design. Designed to eject rocks and debris to help maintain grip and reduce punctures. Solid Durability & Toughness Reinforced construction helps resist cuts, chips, and sidewall damage in rough conditions. I can report long tread life for a mud-terrain tire, with some getting 30,000-40,000+ miles with proper rotations. Surprisingly Good Highway Manners for a Mud Terrain Compared to other MTs, it can ride with less vibration and โtrip-truck bounceโ on pavement. Decent in Wet Conditions Deep grooves and siping help evacuate water and give respectable wet traction for this class. Limitations Noise & Comfort Trade-Off Like most mud-terrain tires, expect noticeable road noise and a firmer ride Vibration and comfort can suffer more than on all-terrain or highway tires. Winter & Ice Performance Performs okay in light to moderate snow, but lack of a 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating means it isnโt a dedicated winter tire. Ice traction is generally weak compared to snow-rated or winter-specific tires. Fuel Economy & Rolling Resistance Aggressive tread increases rolling resistance, which can slightly reduce fuel economy compared with highway or all-terrain tires. Experiences I genuinely love them for off-road and daily use Positive: traction and grip off-road, especially mud and loose gravel. Tread durability is often better than expected for an MT tire. Highway manners are better than average for aggressive mud tires. Critical: Road noise and vibration can be louder than all-terrain options. Performance on ice or packed snow is mediocre without winter ratings. Who This Tire Is Best For Ideal for: Off-road enthusiasts who need serious mud, rock, and dirt capability Trucks & 4ร4 vehicles that split time between trail and highway Drivers who prioritize grip and durability over quiet ride and fuel savings Not ideal for: Primarily highway-only drivers Drivers living in areas with heavy winter ice/snow needing rated winter tires Those seeking the quietest, smoothest ride possible

30,000 mile review
I travel 60-70k miles a year. I've ran BFG's KO2's for many years, averaging around 80k before needing new ones. I've got 30k on these so far and I'm very pleased. They look aggressive and I like the stance of my truck better than I did with the BFG's. They balanced out easily & have a good ride with minimal road noise. They handle well & have good grip in the rain. If they continue to hold up for the next 50k as well as they have the first 30k, I'll have to consider making a permanent change.(After I try out the KO3's) As of right now I'm a fan!

Great tyres, conveniently & quickly delivered!
Needed new tyres for my LR Defender110...bought some other ones (no names!) from another company! They arrived WRONG SIZE..& it took 3 weeks for them to admit & collect & return payment. Amazon does give you "peace of mind" in that direction - and the tyres are really excellent! A good mix between off-road and road use...shame they are NOT winter-rated! Two years on...(2020) tyres are all good, hard cornering on a wet road they'll slide - but predictably! Good in winter as well - though not EU winter-rated! Wear after 35000Km is very acceptable. Use off road is excellent, fantastic grip (shattered half-shaft actually!). Recommended buy especially if you do any off road/mud travelling
