Works well does what it says relieves pain and discomfort. Not too greasy

This works well for me - MUCH better than OTC drugstore creams, which for me sting, and are not effective. I gave up on drugstore brands and was substituting an all-natural vulva balm for my external hemorrhoids. How great to find this purpose-made, all-natural product; it’s just what I wanted and needed. It is a very thick, clear, external-use-only ointment. I think this little tube will last for a long time. I’m grateful!

I developed hemorrhoids after dealing with a severe cough that just would not go away, and I was looking for a more holistic approach to treatment. I’ve used this brand before for other things, including when my daughter was teething, so I felt comfortable trying this product. The ointment did provide relief from discomfort, which was the most important thing for me. That said, the texture is quite greasy. It goes on smoothly but stays slippery for a while, which felt uncomfortable when walking. There was also no cooling effect at all, which I was expecting based on other products I’ve tried. Ingredient wise, I liked that it leans more toward a homeopathic, plant based approach rather than strong medicated ingredients, which is what initially drew me to it. There’s no strong or unpleasant odor. I did notice slight stinging right after application, and it did stain my underwear, so I highly recommend using a long panty liner while treating the area. My biggest concern was the packaging. The bottom of the box was broken off when it arrived. The tube itself was sealed and did not appear tampered with, so it could have been a one time issue, but it was still concerning for a product used on such a sensitive area. I hesitated but ultimately used it because I needed quick relief. Overall, it helped and I did find relief, but the greasiness and packaging issue are important things to be aware of before purchasing.

Have tried all the expensive creams and ointments but could find no pain relief. Was willing to give HemCalm a try because of its low cost. Glad I did. Results were immediate after applying. So far this has worked by far the best to relieve pain and burning.

Helps when needed

I love this brand so much! They are all non toxic plant based and all the products work so well. This ointment is a little greasy, but it is effective. It helps my discomfort and itchiness from hemorrhoids. It’s easy to use, you only need a little bit at a time. I will say preparation H is stronger than this, I don’t like using chemical based but maybe this could be stronger? I also notice I get quicker relief with just a cotton ball drenched in witch hazel though.

Sometimes the conventional stuff just does not do the job so you have to revisit the natural stuff available. I had this overnighted and received it about mid morning. I tried it out early this afternoon after it arrived and relief was almost instant. There was a little bit of burning on application (which was easy by the way if you find your own perfect position), but after a few seconds that went away and there was relief. I have not sat on my donut pillow at all later this afternoon and even walking around after application has brought me nothing but comfort. I love all natural herbs, tinctures, and preparations and I have always been a fan of the Boiron Brand. Now that I know this works for me, I will see if it will work for my spouse the next time he has them. Maybe a little au natural cream will give him Quicker relief than his conventional line up.

Some background first, so u know my journey from hell to heaven. It wasn't until I got pregnant that i had the distinct and horrible pleasure of becoming acquainted with the monster known as Roids. I've only had them rise from the darkness and ascend upon me like a vengeful hellhound twice since giving birth 16 years ago. The first time wasn't so bad, lasted a day and witch hazel was my savior, but the second (most recent) occurrence lasted 2 months. I ate nothing but cooked soft veggies with some chicken and shrimp for meat for these 4 days. No beans, no oatmeal, no bread, no rice/pasta, and no bananas. Drink lots of water. Water, no juice, soda, or coffee. Trust me. My bowel movements are regular, the easier u make it for your booty hole to pass anything, the better. By day 3, my roids had shrunk and were gone. But I like to be thorough, so i went for a day 4 to be sure. No other brand has worked like Boiron's ointment. One tube will be enough. I bought another on day 4 to have on hand for the future. Just in case. I truly hope this helps. Take a breath. Try the HemCalm. Free yourself of suffering.
