Organic Positively Tea CompanyPu-Erh Tea, Loose Leaf, 4 Ounce

I have been drinking Puerh tea since childhood. It has many curative uses which I have learned from my Aunt and literally saved my life with this tea as an infant. She used this tea for herself and her pets. This tea is organic and loose leaf which is the best to buy. I highly recommend and if you do not like the taste throw some lemon and buckwheat honey in it and dont steep too long.

It has a smooth, earthy flavor and is a great value for the amount of tea! Love using it to make kombucha at home. Even on its own, the tea is enjoyable and boosts my energy with no crash.

I am a bit obsessed with pu ehr tea, meaning I buy more than I could ever drink. Now while this is no 10 year vintage, it certianly is delicious for the price, it has a good body, with a pleasant aroma, and a nice earthiness to it. Mind you a mellow earthiness of a young ripe pu ehr, but it does not taste like potting soil as cheap, poor quality pu ehr can. It is a little one note, but that is to be expected, and that one note is a good note. For how cheap this is, and being certified organic, I am not sure you can get a better bargin on loose leaf pu ehr. I would recomend this to anyone who is just trying pu ehr for the first time. Especially because the mellowness of flavor won't be overwhelming or offensive to a new pallet, and if it is add a dash of honey and almond milk and you are off to the races again!

Overall, the flavor of this tea was pretty good. So was the caffeine content and ease of use. Unfortunately drinking this tea gave me heartburn/chest pain. While I am not necessarily blaming this tea per se, it might be something to consider before ordering this item. I seem to be more sensitive to this than other people, so perhaps for most this tea would be a good buy.I am very disappointed I can't drink this tea as I really enjoy the flavor and having it loose leaf is much easier than picking it off of a tea cake. Perhaps I will try this tea again sometime but for now I stay away from it because of the heart burn/chest pain it gave me.Instead of drinking tea I now use caffeine supplements which don't really give me heartburn/chest pain. I guess everyone has to find what works best for them.Thanks for reading and good luck.

I have had pu-erh all around the world and this is easily some of the best value you can get outside of purchasing direct in a tea shop in China. The flavor profile is earthy and full. It blends well with other teas and mix ins you might want to try. I get multiple steeps out of each brew. I highly recommend this tea to anyone looking to have a nice full earthy pu-erh experience.
