I don't think so.

If you would like to know about the percolation rate of the soil in your yard, the most reliable method is a field measurement where you dig a hole in the soil and fill it with water. Return every few hours to monitor the rate at which the water level goes down. I recommend staking a cheap yard stick in the hole. It is relatively simple to calculate the percolation rate in inches/hour. Ideally, this would be done when the surrounding soil is moist, so you should refill the hole a few times and use the percolation rate from the third filling. Alternatively, wait for the rainy season.

If you would like to know the distribution of particle sizes in your soil, you might try a basic "jar test". All you need is a jar and water. This will give you a very rough idea about the texture of your soil.
