Why are people keen to receive the rectangle bottle rather than the round?

Not quiet shore? I tend to look at price, sized/weight. Large bottle for topping up medium and smaller bottles. Medium for the bathroom so it last longer but still discreate, and the smaller option for my work or hand bag as needed.
